LOL John anecdotes are pure gold
@goosetuff7911 жыл бұрын
this is his first time playing in a band, which is pretty unusual, considering the Red Hot Chili Peppers are a considerably popular, experienced band. So unlike the rest of the guys, his exposure to fame came all at once, not steadily. He went from playing guitar in his room by himself for 15 hours a day to becoming a rock star. So Flea says that John is handling the sudden change in lifestyle pretty well, which is sort of true. It's been said that John was pretty obnoxious around this...
@ciaraskeleton9 ай бұрын
I think it's evident here that John had figured out that he didn't enjoy fame of any kind. You can see why he got overwhelmed after this and left. I think the rest of the band enjoyed the spoils of their hard work+John didn't. He just liked music, and when he wasn't playing with the band, he just wanted to go home and hide+play alone. If I were shot into fame, I can see myself following a very similar path to John. I'd become obnoxious as I grew resentful of the life I was stuck in. Then I'd end up hiding, playing alone and doing drugs. 😂 He was just a baby back then, the other guys had 10 years of life experience and even more live music experience.

@leggie1126 Жыл бұрын
It also could have been *so* much worse. John nearly died due to his drug use. He survived a darkness that took away so many other rockers, like Hillel. So yeah, without drugs he may have been better (which is subjective, because his experiences are what make him so great imo), but also I'm grateful for the fact that he made it at all.
