I LOVE THIS BOOK ITS MY FAVORITE AND IM SAD PEOPLE SAY ITS UNORIGINAL. I MEAN..... I GUESS BUT I LIKE IT SO

Ok.. so I don't know why but the name Mare Barrow reminds me of 'bone marrow'. You can't just ignore this🙄 Forget I ever mentioned it.

I really enjoyed this book because it was my first young adult book and I didn't know about the hype, I never really heard about it before I started reading it. So for me it was really good, nothing ruined it for me, unlike other people who didn't get the best experience. When it got close to the plot twist I guessed it but I wasn't focusing on it the whole story so it was good.

I think this book should be a show, A movie would take so much time and creating the places from the book would take forever. I think it should be a animation, Like Avatar the last airbender.

I loved it and I think why I liked it so much is because it reminds me of Throne of Glass. Which is by far my favorite series. And when I read Red Queen I was really deprived of the TOG series which led to a reading slump. And it kind of helped me leave that horrible slump. Plus that plot twist was a great refresher, and the love "triangle" wasn't super complicated and it wasn't the main focus of my attention for once...

Great review. I was worried when this book started getting mixed reviews, but this review has reassured me,

i never heard the hype over it, i’ve seen a lot of videos have recommended it and so have some of my friends from high school. I’ve wanted to read it for awhile so i ordered the books because once i read what it was about i was hooked and had to read it. I’m also ordering the shatter me series, the selection series

You said so much of the same stuff I said in my Red Queen review especially about not being able to connect with the main character idk what it was but I didn't feel super attached to her. I enjoyed the book overall I gave it a 3.5 stars. As a regular reader of Dystopian and fantasy it wasn't mind blowing but I was entertained enough to continue with the series. I feel like this book would be great for someone new to those genres b/c they won't have much to compare it to so they'll enjoy it more. Also I agree about not looking for the plot twist! I feel like if a book has a major plot twist telling ppl is spoilery, it's too easy to figure out when you know it's coming lol. Great review!

I did notice these flaws in the story but I really really liked the book.

I just didn’t like how mare made it all about herself, I mean I really liked the book and the story but Mare....and also I don’t know why I thought it was veryyyyy similar to the hunger games. Great video btw!

I have this book and I really want to give it a try. I bought it a while ago but never got into it. It takes me a while to really get into something to read.

I RLLY LIKE THIS BOOK

I just read Throne of Glass before reading this and it kinda ruined it for me, and I just couldn't really get into it until after the first 100 pages and it bugged me so much because of how similar the characters were. But it's pretty good

*spoilers* i like to imagine that when mare is asleep in her cage, maven visits cal and they talk, and their conversation ends like this: cal in his chains, staring maven dead into his eyes: i see you've beaten me at my own game, brother. maven, laughing: don't flatter yourself. you were never even a player. i also like to imagine that thomas' spirit is chilling wherever he is, going: *well that escalated quickly. glad i died when i did*
