Good interview. I’m surprised nobody mentioned Chris Brown sampling “Tight up Skirt” which by itself is testament to how colossal Red Rat & 90’s dancehall are.

Actually, Chris Brown didn't sample "Tight Up Skirt". He implemented the first line from the chorus of "Tight Up Skirt" by SINGING it onto his track "Privacy". This kind of action is called an _INTERPOLATION._

Social media juggling needs to stay in its lane as secondary. We did already have something genuine at work that’s fully connected to Jamaicans music culture and before social media the culture was doing the same with authenticity don’t throw it away. Yes Great Interview! 90's dancehall was indeed danchall music as it best! I think when the new millenium arrive from the years 2000 - 2005 was like a roll over of the 90's also! A lot of excellent music and rythms were recorded during this time! A factor that contributed heavily to the 90's music being so good also was that the entire world was experiencing an economic boom! Everyone were making money or had access to making money! So music were recorded with love & happiness! It was also a great era for Soca, RnB, Hip Hop, Rap also!
