Rappa 's quirk is called Strongarm - it allows him to fire off his shoulders at extreme speed. Which is why he is always punching extremely fast.

Just a shoutout to how awesome it was that Fatgum and Kirishima jumped out to save Aizawa, considering who his opponents would have been. Rappa would have absolutely murdered him once his quirk made his eyes too tired to keep staring at them.

The reason Fatgum doesn't always stay thin is because he can't use his quirk to absorb anything that way, he has to be fat in order for it to work. But I think he's normally thin in his casual life when he's not on the job, because there's a cute extra fun-fact page in the manga (right where this episode takes place) where he explains that his costume is made to be stretchy, as opposed to being large by default, so I think being thin may be how he wakes up every morning by default. Sadly that most likely will not be animated since extra content pages don't end up in the anime, so that's why I'm saying it here. I like to think he's Fatgum on the streets, Fitgum -in the sheets- at home. He does look very nice that way though, so there's no judgement here 😂

I didn't think that is fat that much needs time to make you can't just thin in the morning and fat at noon . I think why he needs a stretchy costume for him can get more fat or lose some fat and not have to change a new costume every time his size changes.
