Red River Gorge 2

Another drone flight from Chimneytop Rock in the Red River Gorge. This time going to Cloudsplitter and then back to Pinch'em Tight, Hanson's Point, Half-Moon Rock, and landing back at Chimneytop. It was getting a little blustery during decent but ended without incident.

Really nice footage i was thinking about riding down there and getting some footage myself but was afraid someone might try to scoot me off with a broom. They are getting so restrictive where you can and can't fly. I see you already have a herald for the FAA posting to your videos.

Legally you have to have direct unassisted eye sight to your drone. Per the FAA. 6k feet is out of sight.

It's a good mile from Chimney Rock to Cloudsplitter. How did your RC signal hold up? Do you post your logs on Healthydrones.com?

+Guy Roussel . I haven't posted any logs, but will look into it. It was 5996 feet from Chimneytop to the other side of Cloudsplitter. I had full signal the whole time. There is a very clear line-of-sight view between the two.

+Bob Brown Pretty useful log analysis on Healthydrones, even the free version. Amazing how few people were to be seen on Chimney Rock, Hanson's Point, and Cloudsplitter that day, even for a weekday!
