Welcome to the RRMRC! (Red Rocket Minutemen Recruiting Center) This is where Preston Garvey accepts and trains new Minutemen - at least, until we're ready to retake the Castle!
In Totally Vanilla Gaming's Settlement Tour Series, we proudly present a detailed look at each of the Settlements available in Fallout 4. This episode shows off one of the game's most iconic locations- the Red Rocket Truckstop.
This Settlement includes a full workshop, with all crafting stations, as well as a VR lounge, a lookout tower, and complete fortifications- an encircling wall, with both guard posts and auto-turrets. The siren is wired cleverly to a NAND logic gate, so when the siren sounds, the garage door gate automatically closes!
Among the most recent additions was a full cafe (tier 4 restaurant), built to hide the unscrappable robot arms and hoses. It worked better than we expected! It gave us a nuclear-powered Nuka Cola fridge! The old, base game steel barracks were expanded, and elevated into the Truckstop's support girders, giving the place a very "saucer-esque" appearance!
All official add-ons were used in this build, except Automatron. The Creation Club add-ons: Nuka Cola Workshop, VR Workshop, and Home Decor Workshop; were also used, though mostly, just for decoration. (The Cafe has a working Nuka mixer station.)

The channel's production company is Totally Vanilla Gaming, and all of us here are happy to admit we use no mods in any of our builds- everything is, as they say, Totally Vanilla! Our builds are created via the use of certain exploits in the workshop mode of the game: the so-called Rug glitch, and his cousins, the Wire and Pillar glitch. There's also the Wifi glitch and the Settlement size glitch. You can learn all about them at @SkooledZone. Paul's videos are both fun and instructive. For more of our own gaming content, subscribe to @keithsavagelives. We play a variety of PS4 games.
The next episode in the Settlement Tour series is already in production, and will show off the latest improvements to another of our early Settlements.
This one is also one that began as base game, and went through all phases of the add-on upgrades. It is also a Settlement that gave Keith fits when he first got it, but he has come to absolutely adore it. It's one of his favorites, but then, all of them are.
Special thanks to Billy Ward and the Dominoes for providing the theme music and, for starting Rock and Roll!
