The Red Sea Max Nano peninsula has been up and running for just over 12 months and I have discovered that keeping a Nano is extremely rewarding and is also less costly than a larger tank.
However, I have made 5 key mistakes that has made this tank harder to keep and has certainly taken longer than I anticipated to mature.

Fantastic video, loved the top 5 format 😂. I couldn't agree more with dosing beneficial bacteria for success, with plenty of pods. Some great advice here for anyone starting out. Big Thumbs up on this video. 👍 can we have a weekly video 🙏

Thanks jay. Mixed views on the top 5 videos 🤣🤣 but they do have a purpose and a nice way of getting points across. Really don’t want to get on the you tube treadmill of trying to upload a video a week, would rather enjoy just uploading when I have something to talk about 👌🏻

Great tips and advice. Completely agree that an urchin is such a valuable addition, have 3 in my larger tank but can’t have one in the cube 20 as they move too much around 😂

Thanks for watching, appreciate it 👌🏻. I have to putty everything to the scape to stop it moving around and even found a nem being carried around by the urchin 🙈. Only the once though 😡

I think this is great advice for any size tank. I have started with dead sand and rock hopefully it will be ok cos it's too late now 😂 I am away to start adding ammonia and beneficial bacteria tonight. Cheers for all your help on my new journey

If you add bacteria and add critters then that will help. Also keep lights off for a while as that will help

Flux Rx will cause a spike in nitrate and phosphate as it's killing what is taking it up, to get best results you will need to see it through though. I've used it twice now on a 100L tank with sps and Lps and had 0 die off of corals, my phos went to 0.28 and nitrates around 50, then once it runs it course get that skimmer online and done a 25L water each week for 3 weeks on the trot and fingers crossed all good still 👍
