May I ask after calibration using a small output tube to my measuring graduated cylinder.. when I hook up the 4 ft output tube to reach my sump…how do I prime that long tube?

Its just for dosing additives to your aquarium, I wouldn’t use it for automatic water changes like you might with a Versa

Man it really depends on what you're trying to achieve, those are all great choices but if you use Red Sea additives the ReefDose will probably have the greatest synergy

is your 5ghz and 2.4ghz network the same name or different?

@@mous3y490 different, I have them split to separate networks so I can choose which one to connect to. Tried setting up the doser on the 2.4ghz network but it won’t connect

I got mine today and it will not connect how did you pair it to your phone.

Id stick with the Versa due to it being more robust and having better motors. But honestly unless your planning to run it as a continuous duty pump, either would do fine.

I use it for these.nopox can cause a whole world of pain if overdosed though so don't do what I did while priming & accidently dump 25x the dose into tank 😢😂

That's exactly what ecotech has done with the versa, I found that to be a extremely helpful addition. May be worth looking into for you, if I remember right they are a slight step-up from the GHL dosers reliability wise?

@@ayrtonm thanks. I'll keep looking for a while. I moved abroad and don't have an aquarium for a while, but it's really great to see the gear getting better. Those options will shake up the market and perhaps GHL will make a move to catch up. But they aren't known to make a lot of changes 😁

There is alot of innovation in the software and hardware and the push notifications take it too a new level especially for those without apex and all the probes.

@@golbs7542 no its not, ive had every kamoer model including the english dd version they tell you remaining liquid not if the heads are working, if you dont like redsea doser jog on to a kamoer post and stop being so silly :)

@@bopeep7806 I've got a kamoer pro and it does all the same things. Alert when its low and all the wifi programming stuff. I use red sea products. I just can't justify the prices of some equipment in this hobby especially when it's just basic programming and old tech and motors made all shiny. Kamoer is also very expensive for what it is. Peter, are you a red sea rep? Lol Also can't find the kamoer posts. Did you think this was Facebook or KZfaq?

@@golbs7542 the redsea doser sends a push notification to your smartphone or device if the heads are not on properly or they are not turning properly also they send you a wifi disconnected/electric off push notification, kamoer do not have this function also the redsea doser has a diary on board to record doses of each head and the additive added this can be then down loaded to a laptop or another device, i have used all the kamoer doser’s the pro/x4 and the uk version which is branded under dd they do not have these function’s and no I’m not a rep for redsea, i like to try all new reaf gear which i buy myself and when somethings innovative i like to compliment it and correct people who think they can rubbish a product or say its nothing new when it clearly is, that said in an honest verdict would i dose with one, yes, do they function and perform well short term, yes are they a quality feel product, they feel ok, some other brands feel better quality but open them up and you find they have rubber seals and there plastic so as not to rust also the tubing is better quality but you have to buy it separate where as the kamoer/dd have these in the box, but they both virtually the same price with the latest kamoer you have to buy bracket where as the redsea have one on box, i do think redsea should of put piping and tubr clips and sump bracket in box to out compete competitor’s they are upselling as most brands do, also i do have the redsea and the dd pro to dose some of my aquariums, i prefer the dosetronic with alkatronic myself as its more automated but for the pricepoint the redsea are abit ahead of their competitors, long term use i cannot comment as ive only had my redsea 4 months, its never missed a beat and all parameters remain fairly steady.
