You never know! Few years ago I thought I'd only ever have cheap second hand tanks. Slowly growing and selling coral I've worked my way up

You could remove the back panel if it's just screwed in and replace it with wood or anything you wanted to mount stuff. Awesome video, lots of useful information ✌️👍

Removing anything on a 7,000$ dollar tank seems absurd.

You could attach your lights to the aluminum framing. Or, as mentioned replace the plastic with wood and attaching your lights.

I would be very interested in a video on the light mount, it's a material that I have never used.

I'm assuming the backing on the cabinet is plastic so maybe to stop water damage that you could probably get with thin plywood. I quite like the really thick silicone, im sure some won't but I like the picture frame look. Would of been great for them to add a manifold though like some of their competitors.

After seeing this tank and the Cade tanks both great tanks I went with the cade. I like the weirless back. The top off section in the back. But most of all. The gate valve on the Cade. I hate the red sea diagram valve with a passion! 🤣 can't wait to see this build though man 👍
@InfiniteReef Жыл бұрын
CADE are pretty impressive tanks especially with the hardware storage. They didnt come in white though which killed it for me

Great video! Interested to see how you connect the pump to the returns.

I actually 3d printed connectors for the PVC so it's actually hard plumbed
@Bluetang2000 Жыл бұрын
@@InfiniteReef would you be willing to print and sell the connector? Also the caps for connecting the two sumps?

Thanks for the walkthrough. I'm planning on getting one of these but can't seem to find the dry weight anywhere. Do you happen to know what it is with the cabinet included?
@InfiniteReef Жыл бұрын
Sorry I dont unfortunately. Red Sea Support would probably be your best bet
@PabloTBrave Жыл бұрын
Should consider 2 smaller return pumps rather than one big one for redundancy, if one breaks you'll still have some return . Same with heaters, which will be isolated anyway if you only have one return pump .
@InfiniteReef Жыл бұрын
I have extra return pumps in the garage just in case. With the single varios 8 there isn't room for another pump. Heaters I'm more afraid of it getting stuck on so that one's run through an inkbird that's run through apex.

"Detritus Trap"..... Isn't that what it's suppose to do...? How much detritus is really in the water at the return end of the sump....? And is it better to just send that detritus back into the display....! (It isn't hard to rinse a sponge every now and then)
