It is nice to see the Red Squirrels being reintroduced back into their former territories. They bring life back into the ecosystem, and restore it to it's former glory.

It's good to see people care about the environment!!!

Trees for Life: You should get 2 squirrels from each area, so they can have a friend to go with them. It will improve their happiness and survival.

I live in the UK and haven't seen a red squirrel since I was a child over 50 years ago...still miss those beautiful garden visitors and hope one day they will return. Still love the greys though!

The red squirrel is locally extinct in Southern England except for the Isle of Wight (15 x 20 miles), off the Hampshire coast, the Scilly Isles, 30 miles SW or Cornwall, and the "cause celebre" of Brownsea Island. Brownsea Island measures 1 x 2 miles and is in Poole Harbour, Dorset. In those cases, the grey squirrels have not crossed the water.

In 60 years I have only seen a red squirrel in Ukraine even though I live close to The New Forest. Pity the Victorians didn't introduce chipmunks instead of the grey squirrels.

I have just spent 5 full days filming Red Squirrels in a small UK stronghold and there was never a dull moment. They just don't seem to stop for more than a few seconds and are so funny and cute. The Re-introduction programme is wonderful and every credit to you and everyone involved in this great cause. Thank you for sharing these beautiful scenes and good luck moving forward. 👍◕‿◕

Awww....I miss that area sooo much. I used to work/live just across the loch from Plockton 💜 Wonderful to see the reintroduction to this area. I'm in Perthshire now, and I've had Red Squirrels in my garden on and off over the years, although in recent years, no sign of them. I'm glad to say, that last year and this year, there IS a Red squirrel visiting the bird feeders. Got a funny email from my neighbour just today, saying that he had to chase the Red squirrel out of his garden three times because it was chewing holes in his tracksuit bottoms, hanging on his washing line! 😅😅 Presumably to add some nice cosy material to it's drey? Lol

If I was that red squirrel I would be seriously annoyed. Love the native reds, hate the foreign invading greys. P.s. There are no greys left in my garden!

In the Park of Château de Versailles, France, 🇫🇷, there are many red squirrels. They are happy, but don 't like tourists , except one pretty female. She doesn'' t like peanuts. Eats nuts, walnuts etc. out of my hand. She'll have kittens soon as male squirrels already run after her (January 23rd 2023).

You can't say that these wee Squirrels wern't stressed !! you should be able to see they are healthy without capturing them!

Come to New York, US... we have the little buggers by the millions and they live side by side with the grays. Take all you want.

awwww...what a marvellous work! what a sweet, sweet looking squirrels!.....never knew they were so decimated in Scotland!....extinct in that part of UK....so, so glad people are fixing the wrongs done to the environment and wildlife..:-)

Just sotto one of these in a conservation park in Rhode Island . Little guy lives in the ground , an old stone dam .

Scotland is truly the better version of Ireland😭😭😭 We cut down 98% percent of our trees for farming, not logging so reforestation would require taking land off farmers which THE STUPID GOVERNMENT WOULDN'T ALLOW
