Hey Andy the Festae are looking fantastic, I think I would leave the barbs in just a little bit longer maybe another month or two just to see what happens it would be interesting,I can't believe the festae haven't killed the Barbs. If you decide to move the barbs you have to keep those ,those are pretty cool looking fish. Thanks for another great video it was fun to watch

This is one of the most beautiful tanks if you ask me. I love the scape and inhabitants so much. I vote that you ride it out a little while to see if the fish become more comfortable with time. But if your gut is telling you to remove the barbs and it keeps nagging at you, I would listen to it. You know your fish. Excellent video, thank you!

I am loving my 4 small Narinos...roughly around 4 inches. I have mine with spotted Metynnis, a lone Semaprochilodus, and a couple juvenile plecostomus. I am a fan of filament barbs even by themselves. I would just keep them and see how it goes...until you find another tank with them. My Festae take swipes at the SD's, but nothing serious. They only swipe at the prochilodus if he's too close to a Festae's cave feeding. All subject to change. My end goal is just to keep the best pair in tank. Absolutely beautiful festae they are Andy , I really like how those barbs swim in a shoal around the tank , I would leave them in there unless the festae start trying to kill them. You’re so lucky to have a group that seem to get on so well , I’ve kept festae in the past and they were evil, but different fish do have different personalities , my jag is afraid of his own shadow , lol , but I had one that was super aggressive that I had to move on. I told you on the last video that I managed to get a male rtm for my female, I’ve had them divided for about 6 weeks and have now took the divider out and they are getting on great , fingers crossed they will spawn 🤞keep waffling Andy , I love your videos , happy fish keeping sir 👍

The tank looks great u may need to get those barbs outta there I think u could get away with keeping a group of festae in a tank that size no problem, Another amazing video of your beautiful collection. Two weeks in a row thank u sir my fav fish tuber hands down.

What a great tank Andy. Maybe it could be worth trying some plants in to make the barbs less scary. Years ago I kept a breeding pair of green terrors in a planted tank with a couple of shoals of barbs and a red tailed shark + and never had any bother - best tank I've ever had.

Filament barbs are really beautiful, but I think I’ll never use them for dithers again. Them and Tim foil barbs make the big fish spook out when you approach the tank. And the filament barbs will nip at the long fins and streamers.

Who would have thought it?...10 Festae getting a good size and everyone of them is fin perfect still, you must be doing something right mate!

kept filaments in with my festae ..4 f / 2 m ..... tank was 8x2x2 had no issues the filaments will slow down breeding n pick off a few fry in ur tank i would thin the filaments down to 7-8 great vids as ever tho

I had a female festive wipe out a tankful of subs overnight guarding while guarding eggs in a 180g. The one and only time I’ve a female go absolutely bonkers. I like you nearly keep all my fish in species only tanks so I’d yank the filaments personally.

The festae look pretty calm to me and the barbs will keep fry numbers down unless you want thousands of them.

@andy woods you might be afraid of the new fish forgot the name freaking the festae out but as far my experience with festae when they get a little bigger the tables will turn bigg time. Think 10 in a tank will be too much too but time will learn. And every other fish is diff

Unless you’re in a hurry to breed the Festae I would keep the barbs in and let them adjust.

If u dont keep dem ditter fish in aquarium with red terrors they will become skittish and start hiding
