Many people say that just because RV is from SM they have had it easy, they enter SM auditioning, Seulgi trained for seven years, Yeri and Irene for 5, Wendy was ill in their debut. SM debut them to cover their scandals and f(X) fans decided to hate them just because (that's why Reveluv had promesed to not do the same and support any new girl group) Yeri was (and still is) hated just because she entered the group later. They have never been promoted as any other group in their company (literally two days ago, Reveluv were fighting with others SM groups fandoms because SM didn't include RV in their new merchandise) Even if they are one of the top 5 Kpop groups, SM don't promote them... I don't know what luvies would do if the girls don't have their Instagram acc...And don't make me talk about Irene, Yeri getting cancel her program in her birthday and Joy not having a single or a acting role since 2018...

I know some of GGs get criticize so much after debuting but this does not shock me. SM is part of the big 3 and I didnt mean their debut song is not good, it didnt came up with the SM standards cuz imagine SM back in the days. SNSD and f(x) were very popular, great hits and 1 group crowned as the GG of Korea. Thats what the SM fans want and I think its common in SM. It also happened on EXO, Mama was disliked by most of the people, they were disappointed but look at EXO now. They came back hits after hits and didnt gave up. Same with RedVelvet, I had hope for them cuz it shows that they have talent. Its just these crazy ass people judging ang criticizing so much even tho its just a single song. I love RedVelvet

Yeah I don't hate any groups or singers or whatever I dislike American music but I don't spread hate like what. Just because I don't like it I'm not going to hate it like. I don't hate anybody. I used to hate literally everybody when I was in elementary school up to mid- middle school. But after therapy, I changed so now I appreciate everyone and their talents even if I dislike them. I love Red Velvet and I don't really know them like a stan but I appreciate the hard work they put into everything same goes to every other kpop group even obscure ones. They are all trying their best to make their fans happy. And we should be happy for them.

As a fan who was has been around since day 1 of Red Velvet's debut, I can say that a lot of the hate towards the group came from people who felt that SM had left their prior girl group behind. f(x) was SM's prior girl group and their company did kind of leave them behind, but that wasn't Red Velvet's fault and a lot of fans took it out on the girls whenever they were just following their dreams of being idols. A lot of the hate also came from fans not liking Red Velvet's cute sound and concept, which again the girls didn't pick... Fans wanted to see a similar sound that aespa has, but out of Red Velvet at the time of their debut. Which I think SM kind of got because while Red Velvet's songs are still on the cute side they mix in electronic and house style beats that was very prominent in f(x)'s music and now aespa's sound. Overall Red Velvet received a lot of hate, and it still hurts me knowing that the girls still think about their earlier debut days and all of the hate they received.

To be honest, when I was a new Kpop fan, I also hated Red Velvet. I am always amazed by dance-focus groups (Twice, IZ*ONE) and vocals (Blackpink) and ignored the fact that Red Velvet is a very talanted group. I always see them as a failure girl group, their choreographies, their charisma, songs, vocals, and I like to compare them a lot to different groups. But when I matured enough, I get to see through them. They are outstanding vocalists (especially in RBB) and great dancers too (it's just that they are focused more on vocals). I like them now tho. I mean, I love them since Red Flavor. Red Velvet is a very great girl group and very different from others.

The hate in Korea is something else. The fact that they judge idols for everyone just ruins the music aspect. Music is to make people happy not angry. If you are not a fan or don’t like a song, why would you purposely go online and spread negativity.
