So it might look easy for some people but tbh tutting is something that you can't master within days because of the precision and angles that you need to make, the angles needs to look clean and sharp that's why it takes a lot of time in practicing tutting specially if you just started it, i'm really proud with irene and seulgi :'>

I think it will be easy once u learn and start memorising the steps not when u see it....but when u start doing after learning it feels easy.....Like when u have learnt everyhting....it feels easy

@@SimonWoodburyForget This dance wasn't sped up. How they performed this live is the same on how they performed here. But I think you're referring to the camerawork. They focused to show on movements that highlights the essence of tutting. Well this is a choreography video after all and not a regular dance practice video.

Ok, whoever choreograph this DESERVES a raise. Like, who the hell can invent a dance with this hell of symmetrical arm movement. It's so clean and precise. Don't get me start with arm details.

Instead of the choreographer, i think the mastermind behind this is the real OG, like no ones in kpop ever think abt tutting as the main dance style for any choreography 😭 but irene and seulgi basically introduce this dance style to a lot of people

This is one of the most excruciating choreographies ever. It's not about movement but rather about precision. Takes a lot of dedication to master something like this. I don't understand how Irene and Seulgi don't get credit as one of the best Kpop female dancers.

tutting is not easy at all. it require an extreme amount of precision and practice. and doing a tutting choreography with another person is even more difficult because you have to get every single gesture correct and align it with the other person. these two girls are insanely talented for pulling this off so flawlessly they better win a choreo award for this

I swear! They’re doing it so perfectly, clearly they’ve practiced a lot. Also this is a very unique choreography (in kpop mostly) and usually tutting isn’t seen much so Istg if they don’t get an award for this...

Well as a choreographer and a performer for many years, I can say for sure that this is one of the most difficult ( if not the most difficult ) chorography that I have seen from a girl group ( and any group in general ). Well, I was not expecting Irene to pull it off THIS SUCCESSFULLY, BUT DAMN I WAS SOOO WRONG!

Exactly, Irene is an excellent dancer, maybe she doesn't do her steps with such force but the ability she has for this choreography and the red velvet ones is unique, as is her coordination, all the red velvet girls are too beautiful and talented

Irene's dance is so graceful, fluid, smooth and classy. Seulgi's dance is so sharp, powerful, precise and very cool. Their chemistry is so good. They compliment each other from vocals to dancing.

생각보다 유튜브에 커버영상이 많이 올라오지만 이 곡의 표현력과 완성도는 아슬밖에 못 살릴 듯 레드벨벳이라는 그룹 특유의 독특함에 기인하여 멤버인 이 둘에게서도 풍겨져나오는 오라가 있는데 그 오라 덕택에 이 곡 특유의 매력과 분위기가 사는 것 같음

Yeah they’re skilled but there shouldn’t even be videographers for choreography videos, they always zoom in and out unnecessarily. The whole point of these videos are to see the dance and appreciate them, and to learn them, which is impossible to do when u can barely see them

Bro I dont even follow RV that much but this is one of my favorite chores ever. It's kinda rare to see kpop groups step out of their comfort zones in dance. They really mostly just stick to their best style. You don't really see tutting in kpop, so major props to Irene and Seulgi for doing this.

유닛 자체가 레드벨벳 컨셉을 담고 있다. 몬스터, 놀이 안무 둘다 ‘대칭’이 특징인데, 슬기랑 아이린이 대칭인듯하지만 둘의 차이점이 포인트임. 춤 스타일만 보면 슬기가 레드, 아이린이 벨벳 같은 느낌인데 그 이유는 슬기가 조금 더 강렬하고 딱딱 끊어주며 절도 있게 추는 반면 아이린은 각을 맞추면서도 손끝에서 오는 부드러움이 있음. 저 둘 자체가 ‘레드’와 ‘벨벳’의 이중적 컨셉을 담고 있다고 할 수 있지. 그리고 노래만 굳이 분류하자면 smp 장르의 몬스터가 강렬한 ‘레드’, 부드러운 ‘놀이’가 벨벳.

This choreography is leaving me speechless... The detail and sharpness that is required make the dance much harder than it seems. Plus the amount of synchronization you need to have with your partner to make it LOOK good. I expect a FANTASTIC performance of Kang Seulgi

Other groups have done it ( f(x), shinee, super junior, dreamcatcher etc) but mostly only for dance breaks/ specific parts, I think this is the first time tutting is present basically throughout the whole song

this is some of the most technical choreo i've seen in a while. it's not so movement heavy as it is precision-based. with a lot of kpop choreo, you can kinda add your own flare to a move and have it still blend well in a group setting, but one move out of place, or one lacking moment with this choreo and it kinda throws the vibe off..which is why it's impressive that irene and seulgi pulled it off so well! they need to be given their flowers for this, seriously.
