Red Velvet's R&B side is truly the best in K-Pop. Hands down.

This single was part of their debut promotion. At that time, RV releases 2 title track, one of the red side (Happiness) and one of the velvet side (Be Natural). Yeri didn't debut with them because she was too young.

Yeri did not "debut" with RV in Happiness and Be Natural. She joins in Icecream Cake. All of RV states their real debut was when Yeri was finally with them. SM and RV both say Yeri was always planned to be with the group, but didn't debut her because she was too young. Hope this helps! Also, they sneak Yeri in some of the fun effects in Happiness MV.

Right before Red Velvet debuted, the South Korean Fair Trade Commission changed the labor laws forbidding trainees under the International age of 16 from working more than 35 hours a week. This would have been extremely disruptive to a newly debuted group because Idols sometimes have to work long hours, especially where video shoots and travel time are involved. So they waited. If you look at the upload dates for Automatic and Ice-Cream Cake, Yeri had turned 16 barely a week beforehand.

you should really listen to “rookie” by red velvet if you haven’t already its more on the red side and really repeated I think you’ll like it bc its very catchy
