My bulbul just died yesterday, his name was Willy, and I've had him for 5 years. He fell out of his nest 5 years ago, and landed on the car next to me in the parking lot. Ever since, I've kept him as a close friend, fed him from my mouth most of the time and cared for him as I would my own child. At nights, I would wrap him up in my shirt and let him snuggle while he sleeps. The harbor he overlooked is where I tossed his body. R.I.P. Willy.

This video brought me tears....I rescued 2 babies, they were orphans. The mother laid her eggs in a nest she had bulit inside our lantern. For some reason she just disappeared and we could hear her babies chirping and holding their necks up, desperate for food but their mother just wouldnt return. We decided to rescue them as we knew that the maximum time they could survive without food was 24 hours. We had waited for their mother but she didnt return. It was a decision that changed our lives....one of them survived but the other one couldnt make it....it was just too weak. Since it was blind, it quickly imprinted on us and his relation with us was inseparable. But unfortunately he died last year on 8th March.....I cant forget the day he left us. For most of the people it might sound crazy that we literally were so attached but for us, it meant alot. He was like a family member to us. He used to sing all day, and would welcome us so nicely which would melt our hearts

I cried 😭 for 1 hours straight and I was sad for the first week. Yes bro birds are like our family members. Second time i found 2 baby doves they were 1 months old but one day i found 1 baby bird under empty box and he died and other was very weak because he didn't got any feed from parents from 2-3 days, I rescued him and I fed him he survived 2 days with me but on 3rd day he left us. I was just 13 years old that time and I cried a lot, I was feeling that I lost one of my close family member. Baby birds were to friendly with me.

I have a bulbul. It’s two years old. A year back it had an accident which cause one of its nails to come off completely. It was bleeding so I had the leg tied for a few days. It later started biting its other, perfectly fine, foot and would cause it to bleed. So I wrapped that leg with a cloth as well. Now whenever I take off the cloth, it bites both feet, although the nail has grown back. It bites and cause the feet to bleed. What should I do to stop it from doing it? I really want to fix it. My bulbul means the world to me :(

@@sangeetaparyani where I live, vets are not very qualified so they are not able to say what to do with him. They said to let it go since he’s a wild bird. They only care about pets which are bought. Since he’s wild, they’re not looking much into it. So I don’t know what to do. He’s still alive though, 2 years Alhamdulillah. But there have been times where I go out and come back home to see him opening his socks and biting his legs causing it to bleed. That is the only problem I have. I just want him to be able to stand and be like other birds.

Releasing a captive raised bird into the wild is the worst thing u can do for that bird. Also Bulbul, parakeets, parrots etc tend to live longer in captivity

So a baby of this red vented bulbul just fell out of my chandelier ( the parents nest is in that ) I fed it and what not, and now its napping any ideas on what to do next ? Hey! Nathan. All is well i fed it for a few days and kept it in a box. Eventually the parents took it back to the nest. And the whole family few off a week later. :D

hi what do u feed? and when its baby what do they eat . are they suitable as pet bird in captivity? we have many in our garden , i have seen like 7 generations nestings

They eat fruits like banana , Apple and chapati also her favorite food is banana mine eats banana😊😊

This is very nice, but please do not keep birds trapped in your home. (I know this was posted 8 years ago, but if you're doing it to this day, I would be upset...)

Yes I did that grave mistake, my dad brought it inside when it fell down when flying the first time, and fed it for 3 days, now it's not attempting to fly since cozy and well fed with humans, please whomever seeing this never bring inside any fledgling unless it's hurt, you're depriving it's survival and social skills😢
