A PROPER gay rom com! I'm so excited. The actors give off amazing masculine energy and I think from what we can see, they have great chemistry together. I'm glad we're getting something other than a coming of age story cause that's been done so many times before. And it looks like they have an actual budget for this one!

It's incredibly funny, because in the book it's actually "The Queen" ( though she's called Queen Mary ), but they made it a king in the movie so they wouldn't "offend" the royal family, but now the Queen's dead there's a king xD I do highly recommend the book though, it's amazing!!

Your faces at the first kiss were an absolute picture. 😆 PLEASE tell us that you'll react to the film - it looks like it will be a *really* fun LGBTQ romcom.

This is a bit of a book spoiler, but I can also say the book has great representation when it comes to lube, travel size lube is mentioned more than once.

I love both of these actors, especially Henry he is exactly what I pictured when reading it. I’m obsessssed ❤

The book is absolutely one of my favorites! The story is written incredibly well and does a great job of giving an accurate representation of our community and the struggles that we have with a twist of being in the public eye. Highly highly highly recommend the book! It’s an easy read and so good!! Maybe after the movie though, I’m curious to see someone’s take on the movie who hasn’t read the book. Also, if you like Nicholas Galitzine, who plays Prince Henry, you must watch Handsome Devil. It’s an Irish movie with great LBGTQ+ friendship representation.

I love how you instantly started writing the fanfiction that this book has produced over the last 4 years! My opinion - book after movie. For our enjoyment mostly because coming at this movie unbiased and with your usual insight into things will be the best! The hype for this movie is probably because this book became popular because of tiktok- it having come out at the end of 2019 - and it creating and carrying a fandom through the pandemic. And yes- Stephen Fry!

I know a lot of people loved the book and even more are wetting themselves waiting for this movie and I hope it does well and everyone enjoys it. However, it is NOT, NOT, NOT by any stretch of the imagination a non-Scandinavian Young Royals! You are treading on hallowed ground, there, gentlemen.

The audiobook is absolutely fantastic. While I love the book, I've listened to the audiobook mulitiple times. The narrator is fantastic and brings the story to life. COMPLETELY worth of your airpod/earbud time! You will love it!

One of the things I LOVE about the book is their emails and texts and love quotes they send to each other. They're hilarious and sweet and I want someone to write me love notes like that. I hope they kept it all in the movie.

I recommend listening to the audio book! The voice actor does a terrific job, and there are so many other characters in the book (but not the movie) that are also amazing!

Since you haven't already read the book, I would say wait to read it until after you see the movie. There are a few known key plot/character changes that have some fans of the book very upset. I accept that it's not going to be a faithful adaptation of the book simply because there's not enough time in a movie format, but I intend to go in with an open mind. I will say most of what happened in the trailer did take place in the book. I am very excited about this movie and have rewatched this trailer numerous times! 💖💖 1 month to go!!!!!

I've read the book several times and have it on audiobooks as well. Honestly, I've waited with bated breath for over a year and a half for this. I can't wait to see it. Prince Henry and Alex Clairemont-Diaz are a true power couple that's for sure. I can't wait to see your reaction, guys!

The thing about this trailer is that it tells you so much of the story, but it doesn't actually tell you anything about the major drama coming in the story, and hints at some of the relationship, including showing off the first kiss. I'm extremely excited to see how this movie turns out, and though I know there will be elements of the book that I'm sad isn't going to be a part of the adaptation, I think it is definitely going to be a fun and emotional journey, and I'm already obsessed with what's been shown in the trailer. I was worried about the casting but after seeing the trailer I am very excited to see this now! I have read the book 3 times already and I still love this story.

In this story you don't need to root for or against one of them, the world is hard enough on it's own. We root for both of them.

It's romantic and super sexy and intimate, with a lot of layers to it. It certainly has its funny parts, but I'd never classify it as comedy. In other reactions I’ve seen, people who have read the book have more trepidations about it than people who have not. And I will add that I too, am glad that I saw the movie “Love, Simon” before reading “Simon and the Homo Sapiens Agenda.” I liked both very much, and I would hate to have liked one of them less because I saw them in the wrong order.
