Not only do we see that Alex cares for Henry at the New Year's eve party because he comes looking for him but the first thing he says is "did I do something wrong?" But even before that, throughout the entire party, Alex is involved with Henry and tries to keep him feeling part of the festivities. One more spot in the movie where I tear up the whole way through.

The way Henry looks at Alex the moment Percy introduces himself to Nora. Only someone who is totally in love looks at the other person like that. Alex always keeps an eye on him and the surprise when Henry kisses him and the reaction when he realizes that he is returning that kiss.... Incredible!! The chemistry between them is incredible!

Despite the changes, I think the movie was very true to the spirit of the book. I LOVED it for what it was! Did you see that the President's speechwriter was the book's author? Just like Alison Ozeman making a cameo in Heartstopper! I've read the book multiple times, too! Great reaction video. I laughed out loud with you several times!

And it has now come out that the underwater scene was just a lighting test, but they loved it so much, that they decided to use that instead of filming it again.

The way the peasant tugged at the last piece of his armor made him panic at the reality that he knew he couldn't allow it. But his heart beat more and more freely....

The way Taylor and Nicolas were perfect as Alex and Henry. And I loved the whole cast. The way I have like screamed all the time during watching this. I finnished the book for the first time a week before the movie realsed.

I love this movie and everything was a Perfect blend and I must say that the father of Alex said to him “ Sometimes you got to jump, hope you’re not standing on cliffs “ and that’s what they do they jump on opportunity to be brave facing their fear even it’s hard for Henry because he’s the Prince. Now i totally believe in saying love conquer all ❤❤❤ 🏳️‍🌈

Great reaction! Loved the movie and hope there is an extended directors cut we will see in the future. I noticed one scene in the trailer with Alex and Henry bonding over a box of Cornetto's was cut out of the movie, which makes me think others scenes filmed were also cut due to time restraints.

There is apparently over an hour of footage that was edited out of the final cut according to the director!

@@donnawilliams2805 the hour edited out was just actual editing. The version that's an hour longer is completely unedited and is just all the filmed scenes in order. So not something anyone would watch. The longest an edited version was, was 7 minutes longer

I’m one of the ones who has waited until after watching the movie to read the book (I have it but haven’t had a chance to start it yet), and I feel like that was the right decision because the things that were left out I don’t know about, and therefore don’t bother me. Everything in the movie makes sense and works on its own terms, which is what matters for a film. And I am very much looking forward to reading the book now. Loved your reactions, as always.

NEW details I noticed after multiple rewatch! 1. Henry put his hand over his heart when he was underwater 🥹 2. their change of sleeping position: After the confession, Alex was hugging and holding Henry’s wrist! Like he’s afraid of waking up again and seeing Henry gone 🥹

And we now know that sleeping scene wasn’t in the script, but they decided to just do it. And the lake scene was originally a lighting test, but they liked it so much they decided to use it.

i enjoyed the movie but i feel it was unfortunately rushed and they took out some parts that i really loved. i wish they would have made it into a series so we could have taken our time. the book is GOLD!! and i think they would have been able to make it just as good as the book if it was a series. :) still enjoyed the movie but the book is infinitely better.

I know in movie/series adaptations they always add or forget about certain characters (it’s usually because of the budget) and it’s totally fine but why grandma (the Queen) is now a grandpa? Lmao

I think it was because when they started making the movie (a couple years ago) they did not want to make it look like they were mocking or disrespecting the Queen in any way so they changed it to a king for the movie... but then she died and now England has a king but the change was already made so it was for nothing after all

@@upallninetyone thanks 🙏. When I was reading the book I actually thought multiple times how the author got away with adding so many similarities with real British Crown. For example Henry being the spare in the book and the real prince Harry being the second child ( and their names sound really similar too).
