Also the funniest thing is that the homophobic Grandfather is played by the openly gay (and incredible) Stephen Fry, and as far as I understand Thomas Flynn, who plays Henry's brother, is gay too! I love this detail so much!

I haven't read the book so I don't know what Stephen Fry's character is like in the book. However, the king didn't come across as homophobic to me. Rather as someone who is trying to do his duty (protect the crown and the country) because he believes that the public would not accept a gay prince. He acknowledged the love Alex and Henry have for each other. Sure, he didn't come into the room celebrating, but he also didn't try to break them up, or stop them from stepping out on the balcony.

As for “bottoming”; are you asking what it means? This is the simplest definition I could find: A person who is “bottoming” is penetrated by another person or is the submissive partner in a sexual encounter or relationship.

I love this movie!!! I have watched it 4 times in 1 day and I cannot stop. The book and the movie are great. The chemistry between Nick and Taylor is off the charts!!! I laughed, I cried. Everytime I watch it I see more details and nuances that I missed. The love making scene was perfection!!! Never seen anything like that before. ❤️ I have now seen it 10 times! It just gets better and better!!! ❤❤❤

This the romcom movie we've been waiting for. And I don't know where did they find two main charectors. But I must say they did a great job! Great adaptaion from the book. And the chemistry and intimacy between Taylor and Nicholas is awesome!!! The best bl couple in the past decade!!!

I haven't read the book, so I watched the movie without knowing a single thing about it (except from what I'd seen online aka that one's a prince and they end up together) and I also had the same problem identifying them, sometimes I still think Alex is Henry and vice versa. OMG he DOES resemble young Pacino. Scarface Pacino, to be more specific! (And agree about De Niro hahaha, especially as young Vito, that look changed lives).

as a bi woman, I spent the entire movie swooning over EVERYBODY! I've had a crush on Sarah Shahi since she was in The L-Word (which, if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it) so seeing her in this was a pleasant surprise. also, Taylor and Nicholas looked stunning throughout. bless my bi heart 💗💜💙
