Actually just bought these in “Amber Harness” last month as my first boot (aside from Timberlands) and I love them. I’m 24 years old so my style tends to be more relaxed fitting and casual which this boot fits in with perfectly. I think these could attract a lot more of my generation.

i’m currently daily driving my iron rangers so i have no problem with it looking more casual than sleek. makes them way more usable for my line of work and day to day use! I’m guessing someone like myself (in my mid to late 20s) would appreciate something like this more than a sleeker looking chelsea. great review nonetheless!

Another great review. I agree. They’re definitely a chunky work boot. Great for home DIY and gardening, but I couldn’t see myself wearing them around town, unless I’m at the DIY store picking up supplies.

Another great video! Thanks and keep them coming please. Sturdy construction and definitely more useful for gardening, woodworking, bonfires, diy projects, trips to hardware store, taking out trash, raking leaves, riding lawnmower, run to post office, etc. I wouldn’t buy them for a night out on the town, business trip, flight or meetings.

It takes a long time and some serious daily hardcore work to wear down your traction treads. Ive only replaced two sets of traction treads at the RedWing shop on my Moc's and that as after 3 years of serious daily use and abuse.

I got the black one with a black wedge sole. Its silhouette looks much sleeker than I anticipated. Perhaps the colour does make a difference.

I watched the Stridewise review on these and one thing you forgot to touch on was the patina and wear effect on this particular leather- I was hoping you’d talk about whether they were complimentary to the Flint and Tinder jacket. Also- I’m normally an 11 sneaker and 10 on Brannock device and the Red Wing rep told me to go with 10s?

Interesting that the Red Wing rep recommended that. Since these are built with the same last as the Iron Ranger, I just took the same size as my Rangers. True but unpopular opinion: I greatly prefer the look of the patina on grain-out boots over the patina on roughouts.

I agree with you. I’m a big fan of the Iron Ranger and Blacksmiths, I have three pairs of those, but I don’t feel any attraction to wear the Classic Chelsea boots.

A good head to head would be this boot vs Rhodes Blake Chelsea. You own both, if you could only have one which one would it be?

These are built better than the Rhodes, but I definitely wear my Rhodes more because I like the way they look more.

@@StrayReviews well like they say the best boot is the one you prefer to wear. Even though the RW’s are built better obviously not so much that they would stop you wearing the Rhodes. Sir I think you’ve made my decision for me and saved me $80+ 😂
