These barriers were installed last winter replacing gates that were kept closed for safety reasons when there were strong winds which is not uncommon here apparently. The North Sea is straight ahead. They are rather slow although the train itself came quickly. Immediately to the left is the station platform for trains going the other way but the other platform is further west. Given the name of the town, it was obvious what I would stop behind at this crossing.
