I spent a summer working at a local foundry. It was an icon and has been around forever. I moved away years ago. When I moved back, the foundry had been turned into a 'U Pick' auto wrecking yard. So much for progress.

I too had my training there in early nineties. John Carr was the imcharge then. Redcar was the Cinderella of coke ovens.

Amazing drone work and perfect use of explosives to bring tall things down low. Those were some really tough chimneys. Most chimneys will break apart on it's long arc downward. Enough G load as it accelerates and sections break out. Like other shots at old coke plants, there is a century of black coal dust on everything. The demolition tends to kick up large clouds of dust. Looks really cool when shot is slowed down.
