Must be nice in that delusional world you live in where you get to make up reality as it suits you. Back when celebrities used to over & over again say how they want to thank all the 'little people'. How much more 'better' does someone have to think of themselves to say sh** like that? Streisand, Taylor, Capote, Mailer, Harlow, all are infamous for their egos and arrogance, to name just a few. And plenty of athletes thought they were stuck on themselves.

At this point there was definitely some effects from the concussions and head trauma. 15 round fights were BRUTAL, and Ali would go the distance with Leon Spinks the next year (1978)...I can't imagine him fighting for 15 rounds in this condition.

@whatspadethinks
@whatspadethinks 3 ай бұрын
@@bigglilwayne7050 Absolutely. I've watched that fight dozens of times. I think people think of the "Rope-A-Dope" as Ali just covering up and taking shots to the body, arms, etc . However what happened over and over again in that fight was Ali getting hit with bombs to the gloves cinched up against his head. He didn't take a punch right on the button, to the jaw or temple; it was those constant thudding blows to his own gloves on the side of his head that really took their toll. The fact that he fought Frazier a third time, Ken Norton a third time as well, Leon Spinks twice and Larry Holmes and many other fighters all AFTER the fight in Zaire with Big George is completely unreal.

Redd Foxx left Sanford and Son after several seasons in 1977, and got his own variety series, which didn't succeed. He returned to playing Fred Sanford later, I believe.
