Just an update - you can now purchase the smart handles and long bar as an addition to the standard accessories. They do cost extra though, but you can not only turn the resistance off/on, you can also adjust the resistance with the handles. 🙌🏻

You said it could be mounted on the wall which would give you some great angles to work from but how hard is it to hang and remove? My point is while on the floor I could get some great work in but could I then, in the same session, just mount it on the wall then do whatever work I need from that position, and when done bring it back down to the floor to finish? Thanks!

Hey Matt, are isometrics a good way to work around injury? I recently hurt my lower back getting back into bodyweight fitness, so I've switched to wall sits and isometric hip bridges to try to work around the injury. Is that wise? Thanks.

I like that you can slide it under a bed or hang it on the wall and maybe hang a picture in front of it, something tasteful, like Dogs Playing Poker, for those without a dedicated gym area and great taste in art! Could it fit in a suitcase? Should they have a smaller model for that? Will van-life people buy it? The mounting on the wall feature looks to be the killer feature to me. I can fit a lot of conventional equipment under a bed or in a closet already for not much money but a high pulley, not so much, not so easy... This one intrigues me in a way that the other ones don't but I still favor your approach more, bodyweight and a reasonable amount of gear to exploit it with no high tech gear to breakdown, to fail or brick itself... And, cost is always a concern.

Sir! Are Isometrics good if the priority is endurance and athletic explosiveness? If yes, how many sets and how long to hold each set? Thanks in advance sir

In eccentric mode, can you make concentric hard too? Is Eccentric a set % heavier than concentric?

It needs a pushup attachment/harness.

Yes, that would be more comfortable than lying on this trying to approximate a bench press or actually a floor press. A belt for pushups makes a lot more sense. Maybe their belt works and maybe it doesn't but I'd like to know. Ages ago I had a Lifeline product that had a belt or wide band for your upper back and elastic cords you could add to make pushups harder. It worked well and was convenient and portable. Edit: I suppose a bench with one end sitting on this is feasible for bench presses and I suppose if you needed it totally flat you could put a plank or something at the other end of the bench or maybe they sell a bench for it?

Does it seem durable enough to last a while through usage without falling apart???

hanging it on the wall creates the hazard of it "transforming' into a convenient coat rack / catch all. . chose wisely, grasshopper

They should have holes along one edge for pegs to insert for hanging clothes.

>only 133 lbs into the trash it goes. Let me know when one of these can go HEAVY and where you can set a custom resistance curve or have heavier eccentrics like the old school Nautilus machines. Also 133 lbs 33? Really? I hate freemasons.

Yes but u have to understand digital weight is more than traditional weight. I know it weird. But for example a 60lb digital weight would feel 20% heavier.

They have a 300lb version

No way this thing is ready for heavy usage. The 130 lb. Per side limit is laughable for leg work AND chest work. Cmon guys!!! They need to have an update or pro version that at least maxes out at maybe 200 lbs. per side totalling 400lbs. If they can do that....I'm all in! Trying to find workarounds to compensate for a lack of adequate resistance is just plain silly.
@michaelkulman7095
@michaelkulman7095 5 ай бұрын
Best workaround would be Bulgarian split squat and use the belt for cables and or add dumbbells and or do a goblet squat with cables...or just do higher reps of course... BUT...point taken... Mass market might accept weight limit as is but it's a bit too light for an important market... The concept is cool though... If they could go heavier that would be a game changer though!

@@michaelkulman7095 Agree. They are really close. They have their higher end model that can get us to 300lbs total max but still not there for the price they want for it. If they can get it 400, I might think about pushing the buy it button. Even if they would offer an add on package to allow for the weight resistance update. I too love the form factor and portability concept!!

@@KrisVic91Sissy squats, Nordic curls, Skater squats, Shrimp squats, Quad Blasters, Spanish squats, Pistol squats... Some of those can be done on one leg even though most don't or can't...some are one leg by definition... A weight vest, backpack and or some weights and or bands can be added to most of those for less money than this...

@@michaelkulman7095 I'm aware 🤨. But you aren't going to get 133lbs of tension with a backpack are you. I was just saying it would be good for legs.

@@KrisVic91In the context of one leg exercises you can get quite a bit of resistance and even with just sand you can get quite a bit of weight in a serious back pack. Of course chains and some plates or ankle weights can be heavier. Even with two legs and no weight added sissy squats are pretty hard. Ask Tom Platz's ghost. The way you made your original comment made it seem like you didn't think there were harder leg movements involving bodyweight or mostly bodyweight. I pointed out some. This channel points out some. Actually the amount this machine provides isn't that much for two legged work for many. There are ways around that sure but for regular two leg squats many would like it better if each side had say 200 pounds on tap...or more... I still see potential in it for different leg movements though. Say you hooked cables to a belt, you could have a bench behind you and do Bulgarian split squats for example. Or if you had some kind of weight you could add that if hands are free by using a belt...like goblet squats... Also some are using a heavier backpack than you seem to think feasible for various stuff... Part of why I responded was to point out some exercises to any one reading the comments not just you... With one leg movements this would be an easy way to add resistance and it's pretty cool. With two legs to someone squatting heavy already and not interested in higher reps it's not as appealing. With higher reps for people interested in that it's more appealing. With no machine it's still feasible to work legs harder than most think and that was the main point I was trying to make both to you and anyone reading... I'm just saying... I'm not trying to start a fight or anything... Also this channel has stuff on working your legs with bodyweight exercises... And if you add some makeshift weight... The world isn't full of people doing sissy squats while wearing a backpack on their front or back filled with sand! And virtually no one does one leg Quad Blasters, Spanish Squats, or Sissy squats... for reps! And the hypertrophy rep range is said to go up to 30 something...so most people can get the tension they need with or without this cool convenient machine. That said, since people like two leg squats and deadlifts so much if this had 200 or more pounds per side it would be a game changer! Revolutionary even if bigger and more expensive!
