It’s funny seeing someone else’s design for the characters, because what I came up with was with the intention of trying to get the character’s personality & story to show more in the design- _(as well as just make the design more appealing)_ so it’s funny to see this really cute banban, then have my own art be a muscle-y, monster nerd. _(Uthman, scientist, y’know)_

Oh yeah, these designs are WAY better, and more appealing for them! And not only that, they’re also a lot more distinguishable for what they’re supposed to represent, especially for the case of Jumbo Josh.

Just discovered this, and thank god I did cuz this is awesome lol. You're artstyle's clean, the colors have a very nice sort of pastel look to them, the way you pose characters perfectly represents their personality. 10/10, hella underrated IMO :)

I don't think I said it before, but these designs absolutely rock! The way you tailor what little recognizable features these characters have, their general shapes even, into more proper personalities with charm is really commendable, and you even make it fit into a school/kindergarten setting! I mean, when you look at Jumbo Josh, the changes you made to him were not huge. But they were crucial in making the guy actually look like a gorilla. It's amazing how details, or lack thereof, can make or break a character. While it's ironic that actual kids apparently like to draw these characters so much, in some ways it is only because the game characters look like they were made by children. And it's obvious that mascot characters should be made _for_ children, not look like they were made _by_ them. In fact, the game's characters look like kids' attempts to draw your designs!

Mr Kebab man is truly the pinnacle of character design, so I can’t wait to see what you do with him.

make this a series, can’t wait for the other characters if you decide to. here are some ideas for characters to group into parts: Part 2: Stinger Flynn, Captain Fiddles, Nabnab, Tarta Bird plus little beaks Part 3: Slow Seline , Sheriff Toadster, Tamamaki and Chamamaki, Mr Kabob Man Part 4: Nabnabelina, Queen Bounciela and the naughty ones, Bittergiggle, and Kittysaurus Part 5: Zolphious, Syringion and his children, Sir Dadidoo, and the Nanny. Oh, maybe also the chapter 5 creature or Coach Pickles because why not.

I had no idea this was your first formal video like this?? Your persona is so unique yet recognizable that I thought I’d seen you before.. I really like your softer voice! The “youtuber voice” has always bugged me in art videos. That being said, I think it would help to sound just a little more confident when you speak- just so it grabs others’ attention to really show that what you’re saying matters. IDK, it’s up to you :P I really hope to see more videos like this!

The redesigns really made me realize how a lot of the garten of banban designs are actually fine, it's just the style their in that makes them bad. Like, i could actually see your redesigns as characters in a kindergarten while the originals just kinda look like something I'd see in a bad flash animation. Honestly it even makes me think maybe the characters in the later chapters could have slightly different styles like they get more classic as you go lower down. [ The main cast being a more modern kindergarten style and it goes down to the older versions which would fit with the theme of it getting creepier as you go deeper. ]

nice vid, really like the approach you took with the designs, instead of completely changing them you just simply enhanced them, love the more cartoonish approach too, they feel like cartoon network characters

I've always figured the Banban characters look as shapeless and lumpy as they do because the specific reference point is viral/memetic photographs of actual kindergartens with horrible off-model versions of popular characters painted on the walls. Thus the wall paintings look terribly crude, with the twist reveal being that this is what the monsters really look like. Not to credit Euphoric Brothers with TOO much cunning, they're definitely still just making it up as they go along, responding to whatever gets the best and most rewarding response out of the zeitgeist (that bird fight in part 6 feels like it came out of a Buggy Huggy fan-animation). Anyway, I love these new redesigns. I admit I was hoping for Nabnab, him and Nabnaleena are my absolute favourite part of this whole bizarre trainwreck, but Opila Bird is always a winner too
