AMAZING redesign!! So happy to see you talk about the history and the meaning behind a lot of the details. I was really disappointed in a lot of the attitudes people had about her from the beginning because as a Mexican, myself, I was super excited to see her represented and looking so glamorous! But like you I was also kind of wanting a charro element because I’ve always thought it would be cute in doll scale, so thank you so much for creating such a gorgeous version 🤩🤩

This is the first time I’ve heard of the doll, but you explained everything so well I don’t think I need extra research. The way you explained everything was amazing, I could say I’ve understood the concept pretty decently. You handled the situation very well, I’m from the Middle East so misrepresentation / under representation is something I understand so well. Your redesign looks amazing, keep it up 🤍🤍

Thank you! Honestly I did wanted to do that, but 1 -I suck at making dokl customs 2- The doll is so expensive. Even though there's still some left at my local toy store I don't think I would buy her for full price, just to alter her 😳

I have yet to see her out of the box, I like her make up, I don't really like the top, ,the skirt is cute , but I don't like this thing that they also did with Cleo where they just give us a fabric with a printed pattern, instead of creating a unique dress, like her first collectors doll was so pretty, I would have liked something with a similar vibe

I bet most mexicans wouldn't be upset about it (I wouldn't be and I'm mexican). Día de los Muertos is a beautiful holiday in which we remember our loved ones that are not longer with us and celebrate their memories. I assure you is a beautiful pre-colonic tradition that survived in the religious convertion and got more things added with the years. Somehow it can bring you happines or peace about the ones you love but can't be with you anymore.
