I've known Capt Sally for over 30 years. She is an amazing woman and a pioneer fisherwoman. Her contribution to kayak fishing the coastal bend, is immeasurable. Her heart is huge. She and Capt Black weathered some pretty intense and catastrophic events in their lives not long ago and you can see by the huge smile on her face that they came thru the challenges very well. She is an inspiration and will always hold a place in my heart as a friend. Great video, looking forward to the next one!!!

I know this is really late to be commenting on a 2 year old video and I'm not sure if you will read this but..you litterally went to the neighbors of my best friends house in my home town of riviera. Litterally 20feet were i was and I couldn't get an autograph.. darn .. lol. But nice to see someone I enjoy viewing enjoy the beautiful bay of South Texas I've enjoyed for years.

You taught me two things my parents never cared to, I learned to fish and I learned to cook.

Capt Sally continues to run a top notch operation down in baffin. Thanks DMFD for showing the world this hidden gem and some of the best people in the industry.

I don't know how long I've been subscribed but all I know is it was the best decision I've ever made. you are such a humble caring person who loves to go out and just live your life and I love you sooooo much for that. You are such a good dad because you have lived of all that food and now your passing it down from generation to generation. I would love it if you responded because I would give up a lot of things just to spend time with such an amazing person. Your family is so lucky to have such an amazing person in their lives. I live an HR away from baffin bay in Alice TX. Its a great feeling watching someone from another part of the country with great fishing come to south tx and enjoy themselves over here. I hope your south TX trip was everything you expected and then some.. God bless

Watching videos like this makes me miss my hometown in South Louisiana. Nothing will ever beat winter Speckled Trout fishing in Delacroix Sweetwater Marina or catching bull redfish in Cocodrie during the Spring and Summer.

Hi Robert, I love Baffin Bay!! I Graduated from Texas A&M Kingsville. As a student I would go fishing at Baffin Bay from 12am- 5:00AM come back to my dorm clean fish and get to my 8:00AM Class!! Miss those days! loved my time at Baffin Bay and Kingsville TX.

One of my favorite ways to make the freezed butter is by using roll butter. Let it get to room temp. Mince Garlic. Chop Basil. Mix with butter. Wrap with parchment. Wrap with saran. Throw in freezer. Pull it out when using it for cooking, finishing dishes.. Steaks, Pasta, Fish.. Easy to make in bulk, and it lasts forever! (So it seems) Great video as always! Keep rockin!!

I retired from cooking professionally after 28 years and I can tell you that you were just fed by a consummate professional. Love his style. Everything looked great and you know it was cranked with flavor.

Stationed in Kings Bay Ga. for 5 years, I was shown to cook reds the same way; skin on and fillet like a salmon and cut the throat out. The cilantro crab butter on top...OMG that looks incredible! Those speckles are fantastic eaters too. Great video my friend!

Born and raised south texas i grew up in rockport amd iv fished baffin a few times. I cant beleave you have never had redfish on the half shell man thats like the only way to cook it. Watching this video realy maked me miss working at redfish lodge on copano bay it took a big hit from hurricane Harvey and i miss it i miss living in south Texas also if you get the chance make Seviche with redfish.

And we like to cook Redfish AND Black Drum on the half shell exactly like this! We just did a catch/cook/clean Black Drum tutorial video too -and my wife gave you all a shout out when she pulled out her Everglades seasoning hahaha! Hey rob love the channel! the redfish video brings back memories from texas! Wanted to reach out to you about bleeding out your fish it can be done to all fish and will make the flavor better i was an aquaculture major in college and did some research on it impacting the flavor on tilapia and fresh water trout i assume it will also work on saltwater fish, it is also a great way to dispatch a fish in a cooler on most fish all you have to do is cut the isthmus on the fish it will sever the main artery from the heart to the gills can be done with a knife or just your finger.
