It’s a nod to how BLIND abusive relationships can be, and how despite her pain, she doesn’t RECOGNIZE that he’s the issue! This song was ahead of its time. It's so powerful and it talks about a really tough subject that no one wants to hear. I will always have a special place in my heart for this song. The things people go through are horrendous and it makes me happy to know that people actually care enough to voice their opinions and stand with those that can't stand for themselves.

as a father of three girls this video means so much to me. Females need a father or another significant other in their life to help them understand that no man is worth staying with if he is abusive. This shows that there's more to a relationship than violence and taking from your partner and that a real relationship shows trust, loyalty, forgiveness and above all, LOVE. Something I had to learn, being on the receiving end for a long while
