I need to go down to the local military surplus and get some of that stealth paint we us on the F-35. They'd probably get little to no return, not technically a radar jammer. Sadly something tells me Uncle Sam won't sale me any.

the problem is the stuff is very heavy. like it would add 300 lbs to the car heavy
@donotneed2250Ай бұрын
Do they still make RADAR Bras? They go on the front of the car to absorb the RADAR. I've never seen them for the back though. There are alsi jammers and those units that put out a signal to make RADAR think you're going a different speed than you are.
@MichaelThe-Pyro29 күн бұрын
@@donotneed2250 yea... There is no such thing as a device that asorbs radar... If it is a device like you described it would be a jammer. The only ways to passively shrink a radar signature is the physically change the geometry of the object or to have radar absorbing paint. However the paint is a misnomer. It is a coating with various types of materials embedded in the paint. More like a bed liner spray. However this will not stop radar from being reflected it will simply reduce the radar signature. It will passively absorb maybe 60%

@@MichaelThe-Pyro, they hit the market in the late 1990's which is probably long before you were born. I saw a lot of owners who liked to speed with them but due to UV rays they only lasted a few weeks before their effectiveness started wearing off.
@MichaelThe-Pyro29 күн бұрын
@@donotneed2250 what I am saying is the physics of radar do not allow for this... At most it could be a passive jammer by focusing a large amount of the radar beam back at the source. But any absorbing material works by not reflecting the radar waves that hit it back to the receiver. So even if the absorbed the radar it would just appear to the radar as having a hole where these disks are. There would still be plenty of radiation reflected back to effective.

Unfamiliar with "Redline". What am I looking for in this video?
@MLCHRLАй бұрын
A Redline radar is a high-performance radar detector designed for detecting police radar and laser signals. It's known for its long-range detection, advanced false alert filtering, and stealth capabilities against radar detector detectors (RDDs). Key features typically include: Dual Antenna Design: Enhances detection range and sensitivity. Digital Signal Processing (DSP): Improves accuracy and reduces false alerts. Stealth Technology: Makes the detector invisible to RDDs like the Spectre. GPS Integration: Allows for location-based alerts and false alert lockouts. Multiple Band Detection: Detects X, K, Ka, and laser signals. User-Friendly Interface: Easy to use with customizable settings and alerts. Ideal for drivers looking for advanced detection and minimal interference. So basicly you just hear it.. and you see the car at the end of the vid.

Someone post a link to the bit of kit we're seeing being used here, please.

How does it picks the radar vehicle from behind and so far away? Is the equipment in the radar vehicle located on the rear window or rearwards? Or the signal bounces around?
@helicitywxАй бұрын
Radar detectors use a superheterodyne receiver to detect the emissions from radar guns. They can also pick up signals from behind as well as at a distance because radio waves can travel and be detected beyond line of sight.

Police cars here have radar front and rear. ( at least the ones doing traffic duties )

@@MatthiasYReich the presence of a marked police car slows down traffic and prevents speeding, even if no tickets are being written. If they were using a marked one, they could catch the outliers who speed recklessly past cops. Using the unmarked vehicle just shows they want to collect maximum revenue from drivers.

@@210works I do not get it -- why would you want to speed there? If you are important, they will wait for you.
@210works29 күн бұрын
@@JurekOK there are many reasons drivers speed, but one of the most important ones is the design of the roadway. If everybody is speeding, a government that actually cares about safety will renovate the road to slow it down, not hide with unmarked cars and tax drivers repeatedly.

@@Random-nf7qb Are they legal to use there? Given how draconian OZ speed enforcement reportedly is, that would surprise me. Here in the US, they are fairly useless as most enforcement is by "instant on" radar or laser at this point. You ger very, very little if any warning. Cops almost never just leave the radar on as they did in this case.
