Welcome to the fifth RED comparative of 2023 this time we turn up the heat. If this time last year it was the superbikes that were the stars on our channel, this year it's time to talk about their fairingless sisters. Yes, you got it right in this comparison we are talking about those motorcycles that precisely from superbikes often inherit chassis and engines to offer phenomenal performance on the road and on the track. Do these bikes make sense? The debate is open, but in the meantime we can tell you that riding them is an absolute delight, and European brands continue to challenge each other in this segment bringing performance to levels we would not have even dared to imagine a few years ago. Indeed, in this comparison we judge motorcycles totaling an impressive 953 hp and 622 Nm of torque, and we are ready to put them to the test in one of our merciless comparisons. As always single-tire, as always with testers of varying experience, as always we'll be voting in thirtieths on a slew of entries so you can see how they fare on the road and on the track, and what a track!
But this time we did even more than that. In addition to weighing them as we always do, we also bench tested the bikes. And there was no shortage of surprises. Motorcycles, I'll tell you right now, that represent absolute technical excellence. Unnecessary? Maybe. But it's impossible not to fall in love with them. Here's how it went
