RedMagic 5G Teardown! - How does the Cooling Fan work?

Күн бұрынNot all gaming phones are created equal... especially on the inside. This Brand new RedMagic 5G gaming phone has a FAN inside. Making it one of the coolest looking phones weve taken apart in awhile. This little motorized hurricane sucks in air from one side to cool the processor (And other random mother board chips) And spits the hot air out the other side of the phone. Today we are going to take apart the Red Magic 5G and see what makes it work from the inside. We'll take a look at the Turbo Cooling fan inside of the Android smartphone, and see if the RedMagic 5g can withstand being taken apart and reassembled. And yes. The fan indeed sucks air in through one side and out the other.

Some extra cameras can be quite useful such as the ultra wide and telephoto are actually quite practical in what I do at least. The versatility is handy but the headphone jack I will miss too.

@@matthewborgholthaus7952 Yeah, those are pretty useful. But manufacturers sometimes add a crappy depth sensor and macro camera to a phone just so that they could take up the extra space inside the phone and advertise a triple or quad camera setup.

When he talked about the headphone jack it hit me that seriously, in a decade young people will simply not know what a 3.5mm jack is. It's real sad that we lose access to tech that just works simply because of company greed.

@@joelfolgner8234 It's not the same thing. Floppies and CDs where phased out because flash storage is much faster, more dense, smaller and thus eventually became the best solution altogether. There is no real benefit as of now, that USB-C or wireless headphones provide over those with a 3.5mm jack. Also, wireless ones are more expensive and can be easily lost or stolen. If someone ever comes up with a product that just doesn't work on a 3.5mm jack and is arguably better than one that can then yes, tech can evolve. But for now, it's just greedy companies that want to sell you dongles.

They build phones to be disposable the problem is the price keeps going up they want you to buy a $1,000 phone use it for a year or so throw it away and get another one but for some reason I'm still rocking a little cheap hundred-dollar LG Stylo 3 but I've had since pretty much it's a release month a few years back I'm even rocking the same original battery

When you block the airflow the fan is not struggling, in fact, it's pulling less current because there is no air resistance therefor fan rotates faster 2:03

Is it possible to isolate the air channel with the fan out of the internals of the phone so that if you put it into water it can reach the channel and the fan but not other the electronical parts.

That phone deserves a medal it's half the cost of most flagships and even after all that it still works yeah it's not really repairable and there's room for improvement but for the price bravo
