I had a K20 Pro and a Poco F3 and I have to say I think the under-display fingerprint sensor concept is overrated. The side-mounted one is faster, you don't have to wake up the screen or keep it on to use it, plus you don't smudge up the screen every time you use it.

But.... wouldn't you smudge up the screen when you use the display after unlocking it? I mean, the other points are fine but that last one doesn't really make sense. You're going to be using the display anyway after unlocking with the fingerprint, so it's basically just an extra tap on the screen.

Or you could always just use face unlock and skip putting your fingerprint in altogether

Back mounted is the easiest. You take the phone out of your pocket while your finger is on the sensor and boom unlocked phone straight out the pocket.

Congratulations !! Long awaited this review !!! A big, big LIKE! And the phone is clearly better than I initially thought !! The combination of display, haptic engine and sound is unmatched at this price, I even dare to say that it is the best combination at the moment. Being a specialized phone in a certain field, it cannot satisfy all desires. Anyway, Xiaomi has brought some news such as the selfie photo sensor, a new infrared transmitter with a range of 10 m, super fast battery charging, these super speakers and many other . In conclusion, a phone that in some chapters has no rival yet....

I am using Poco F3 GT with China Rom installed on it and it works amazing... rather camera also performs better with china rom with smooth miui animations + miui dialer (call recorder) :)

Honestly I was more excited to see the standard version using the Dimensity 9000. There's more than enough SD 8 gen 1 phones out already anyway.

And SD chips are hot 🥵 when playing games I prefer demensity's so I will keep the k40 it's perfect for gaming

@Yuuki Homura hating over a chipset is none sense I own both SD and Mediatek and last Gen Snapdragons are very hot when playing high demanding games in the end you will have many frame drops unless you are in a cold environment on the other side Dimensity is perfect for gaming and does have a constant fps and power consumption is very good so be objective😉

Dimensity 9000 seems more interesting than the SD8g1, slightly more ghz than the SD8g1 and better cooling plus better battery efficiency
