My Redmi Note 13 Unboxing and Review. This budget smartphone currently retails for about N207,000 ($165) and features a whole lot. In this review, I touch on all there is to know about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13.
The Note 13 4G from Redmi here features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, being powered by a 5000mAH battery and the Snapdragon 680 chipset.
One thing I love about the Note 13 is the really amazing-looking display, with about 1800 nits of brightness for amazing usage outdoors, a 120Hz refresh rate and an AMOLED panel.

The design is same as the Note 12 except the camera bump. Again, there's is no single difference between this Note 13 and Note 12 at all.

Have to disagree about being no better than the note 12. I've just bought both for relatives and the 13 is definitely superior! Twin speakers with Dolby atmos, 6GB of ram instead of 4, brighter screen with more accurate colours,(the 12's colours are rather dull) better camera and slimmer bezels that make it look much better. It also has in screen finger print sensor which is much faster. This phone also gets three OS updates and four years of security patches. The phone is also faster and snappier than the 12 probably due to increased ram! Plus no adds in xiaomi apps! I got both phones from xiaomi direct and the 13 was only £5 more than the 12 at £124 delivered! All in all a much better phone!

Agree. I got this phone for £90/$115 yesterday for my mom and can't wait for it to be delivered. I own the Note 13 Pro 5G and am very happy with this phone so far.

What carriers are you using on Redmi. I had an older version and it just stopped working on simple mobile in the US. Att said it isnt compatible either, juat about every carrier is using verizon network now snd xaomi phones unfortunately can not be used on them

I was seriously considering buying this phone, but decided to buy the Samsung galaxy A15 mainly because of the chipset. Soc is more important than design in my opinion

Where did you get your spec? Xiaomi's own website says it's a Snapdragon 685 - and GSMARENA as well. Also the third rear camera sensor is a macro camera - not a depth sensor. So what's the story dude?

dont use that feature, it reduces battery health and might make your device slower if too many apps were opened, consider getting the 8gb ram version if available

What you said about the Samsung speaker and that of this phone is misleading! This phone has two speakers, giving you the option to hear stereo playback. Unfortunately, the Samsung Galaxy A15 has one speaker only.

It takes around 2 weeks for a device to learn your battery usage. So it may take a while :DD

I watched it on my redmi note 13 and i can say the phone is good for normal things like social media, KZfaq, browsing and others. The display is amazing, 120 hz is good for that price. I know the processor is not mid range, but for normal usage is pretty snappy.

We all tend to prefer Redmi phones more, (or we used to) because they offer unbeatable specs for the price, but we get crappy software in return, which makes all them features and hardware fade away, while Samsung offering the best software experience for the money, now offering full OneUi version even on budget devices, that is something to consider, software is as important as the hardware.

Software is great and all but with those hardware on Samsung midrange phones it's just not enough to even justify that hardware Software is good but if it has slow and bad hardware whats the point? 🤷‍♂️ my mom has a Samsung phone and my sister boths A series and they are slow as fuck and the battery drains faster than my realme 5 pro which is older than their phones

@@xpreflex6265 I agree with you but i think that's the case with older Samsung A series devices, I think now things have changed a little bit since we see they put better and faster processors in A series Samsungs. I used to have Redmi Note 10 and it was stuttery mess and also boring as hell since no software update was seen besides the numbers changing from MIUI 12.5 up to 14.

Please always review features on Redmi phones 🙏🏼 Reason cos Redmi has this tendercy of limiting features on their phones depending on the variant. Redmi 12 and 13c users are crying of not getting the new control panel maybe cos it's a low budget Xiaomi phones. Redmi Note variant do have some exceptions as some have , second space, app opening and closing animations, dynamic texture in Display & brightness settings etc while some Redmi Note don't have those features for a reason best known to them.

yeah yeah good and all, but has anyone that's used this phone for a while(more than a month) still recommend this phone? I've seen people say it over heats, it keeps locking for certain places in the world, and it starts to go downhill ... can someone who's had this say otherwise?

Hey, so I haven't really used this phone for more than 2 weeks in a while, but I recently took out the Note 12 from last year (just to refresh my memory before making this video). I used it for a week, and it worked pretty well. Not sure if that helps, but I also didn't use that device for more than 2 months total last year.

Software is more important than Hardware in the long run. Owing to this the A15 will be enjoyed more in the long run. I believe the Redmi series will lose appeal this year due to the steep price (which is not their fault). They were blazing for their affordability and also ok specs theyboffered on their phones.

With all those features like 120hz amoled display with underscreen finger print sensor and with sd 685 its pretty amazing that their price is low enough together with those specs alot of phones needed to sacrifice alot like chipset just to get amoled display on a phone cheap enough and even the underscreen finger print sensor is amazing together with 108mp camera

Had the phone and it's a great package let down by a few things. The main issue is the camera. Even the 108mp produces soft images lacking detail when cropping in. The in display fingerprint reader seems less intuitive than a side mounted reader. The flat edge design isn't as comfortable in the hand as a curved rear, and the phone wobbles on flat surfaces due to an offset protruding camera array.

Astonishing. Seems like we in europe get a slightly different device. Looks almost the same, but it's slightly thicker like a galaxy s24.... Your device is more like the redmi note 12.

@@weihow6923 it's not the best phone at this price for gaming if you're a mobile gamer I would suggest realme 11 4g or Samsung a15 other than that it's pretty smooth in using and . I think it's the best screen out there I did the hyperos update and it seems not laggy The finger print is not that fast tbh but not horrible Its automaticly at 60hz so make sure you change it to 120hz if you care I personally use it at 60 to save battery and it's nice I would extremely recommend it if you just use it daily for social media etc. but for games like pubg not good

The screen is perfect literally perfect and it's not laggy with the hyperos update I would suggest 8 gega ram and if you care about gaming I would suggest realme 11 4g or Samsung a15 Wich are at the same price and lower other than that it's pretty good
