i honestly enjoyed ayato’s story quest it was a refresher from all the previous story quests that dealt with fighting. his story quest was another reason why i wanted to pull for him but lost 50/50 to C1 jean 😭 i did however get ayaka though since i missed her first banner

The holy trinity of the financially stable elderly standing like penguins and greeting you as you walk closer to the group. Be sure not to scare them, these common species are quite bad tempered and will probably cuss you out and stiffen their arm positions at you.

Personally for me, Ayato's character story quest is an upgrade from Kokomi's poorly written story quest. It didn't give justice to her title as a well-known grand strategist. Ayato's quest is not for everyone. To be fair, it's the same with other character story quest. To each to their own. I get that most players feel that Ayato's story is more about Chisato and Kamaji and find it boring. Venti's story quest is not about him also but it's all about Stanley. But at the end of the story, it all ties up well and gives depth to Venti's character. It's the same with Ayato. It perfectly described how Ayato works discreetly, how he plans 3 to 5 steps ahead, and how exactly the Yashiro commission works or plays the part in the Tri-Commission. The very first scene with Ayato, he was playing chess with Thoma with his back against him. That scene tells us that he is a chess grandmaster. He can play chess even with his eyes closed. It tells a lot about his character. Like in chess, he carefully plans his move. And with each move you make, he already has solutions for each different scenarios. Just like Shikamaru in Naruto for a simpler explanation. Remember what he said to Thoma at the end, that the Traveler did indeed play a critical role. Both families would have been more guarded against him had Traveler and Paimon not been present. It wouldn't been so easy to get to the heart of the matter. So my take on this, Ayato already had suspicions that Kamaji and Chisato's wedding was part of a scheme and someone was using it for their own ends, but he doesn't have evidence to support his claims or who's behind it. So when the Traveler showed up to the Kamisato Estate and asked about the wedding, Ayato probably was ecstatic coz the Traveler was the missing chess piece he needed for his plans to work. Also, makes me think if Shinnojou really uncovered the truth all by his own. The story is very cohesive and is well written with proper buildup. When he said, if the outcome is positive, and no one was deceived or harmed in the process, then it is acceptable. Showing Ayato as a real politician with this line. The whole gist of his quest is to show that Ayato is not afraid to do smear campaigns and will seek powerful supporters to achieve his goals. He's brilliant, cunning and shrewd. Him helping Kamaji especially Chisato to stabilize her clan and the Kanjou Commission not because he simply wants to help but he helped because stability in Inazuma benefits him and a stable nation is a prerequisite for a stable Yashiro Commission. Also, the couple now owes or have gratitude towards Ayato for helping them. Kinda sad that a lot of players didn't get or understand Ayato's story quest. The quest really tells a lot about Ayato's personality but I guess people don't want to analyze it and kept a close-mind & half-glass empty attitude towards the story. I guess, to each to their own.

When Ayato was about to be released, I was hoping that his quest will explore how he does things as a politician, or insight about the Shuumatsuban, or how he plans things moving forward in Inazuma given his past. This quest did exactly that. I was dreading that mhy may go to the "date" route or "overworked" route--thank God they didn't. This is exactly the kind of strategy that I was hoping to see with Kokomi, which they absolutely didn't deliver. The chess cutscene immediately showed that Ayato on the other hand, was a master strategist. The way he planned the wedding, now I didn't understood it at first and had to read other people's insights, but it was brilliant. The way he interfered also tied to his parents' past as well, thinking that he didn't want the couple to undergo the same hardships his parents did. I think this is one of the best quests where they truly show, not tell.

This was the first story quest that I actually enjoyed in MONTHS. I had zero interest in Ayato before this quest and expected it to be a drag. I personally thought it was amazing (albeit pretty lengthy) and it made me a lil sad that people dunked on it so much.

Funny story, but i actually want to see Inazuma political plays and Ayato was perfect candidate for introducing this kind of things. So yeah, was real blast for me, but can see why its not really interesting for most people. And as introducing, its really nicely done, because now, then we familiar, all can hangout with Kamisato family and Thoma in part 2. Ayato's story quest is amazing and one of my favorites. It's so sad people didn't get it. We can see so much of his personality and his views on many things there, we can see the insides of Inazuma and so on. It's truly a great story. People just don't like to read and think of the meaning behind words. They want epic action. That's sad. /excuse my English it's my second language

The fact he can manipulate everything anything behind the scenes, he is a scary figure and must NEVER be mess with. The fact he was given this burden at a young age, enduring lots of smear campaigns against him, taking care of Ayaka growing up. But he will do anything to save his family and the clan at any means necessary. If anything he's far more terrifying than Ningguang.

Ahhh it’s a shame a lot of people didn’t end up liking this quest 🥲 I thought it had a lot of nuance that tied in lots of different story elements we learned in inazuma while showing the yashiro commission’s/ ayato’s influence in the tri commission and inazuma as a whole. It felt like it didn’t need a flashy ending cause that’s not how he operates. The missing piece to the inazuma storyline. Either way, happy to see you’re uploading so much :D

I adore ayato so much especially after this story quest, imo it really shows his character and position well befitting of his status and capability considering he has been a chessmaster behind major scenes. He shows his personality, thought process, mindset and intellectual prowess plus savagery by words alone! He decimates and defeats without ever lifting a finger unledd needed... Now that is such understated power that I'm glad got to be highlighted as he isn't flashy like itto and many others. Not to mention it's really refreshing to have a character that is not outwardly friendly for once. Ayato is more so distant and guarded and it makes him all the more mysterious, even if this quest doesn't really focus on him specifically it serves it's purpose well. The verbose dialogues and chisato's situation are a bonus for me personally, tho I definitely get that this isn't the quest for everyone and that's fine too 👌

From what I learned from Ayatos story.. I understand why people could find it a boring questline. However it holds a very important lesson. Not everything goes our way. Like Chisato And Kamaji.. we can't always choose love over responsibilities. Everything needs time and patience. Sometimes if you let your emotions get the better of you, you will end up hurting more people in following what you love. We have responsibilities.. all of us do. We can't run away from them despite how much we want to. It's unfair.. but different people have different types of responsibilities. Even Ayato reflected this. Because when he was young, he lost his mother and father. He had a sister to take care of.. who's to say he didn't want to do different things with his life. But alas.. he had to do what he had to do. And in the end, it turned out good for him and his little sister. Chisato never said she will never marry Kamaji.. she even said she will think about Marriage once more when she had put a stable foundation for her and her clan in the Tri commission. Which means there is a time and place for everything. Think about your actions first instead of rushing into thinga because of your emotions.

I kinda wish the story quest included more info about Ayato because, you know, its his story quest, but it was pretty calm which I liked. Also I'm glad it wasn't just my lighting that made Kujou Kamaji glow and it was intended by Hoyoverse. Thoma: Has to drink Sea Ganoderma milk "Poor Thoma" *Him literally being able to eat anything bc Ayato gives Thoma his cooking all the time but it so bad that it looks rotten*

Sea Ganoderma's lore is pretty dark. It says in its description: 'In the folktales told in a certain land, these mouthless, noseless creatures are the transformed souls of children who died young. As a form of punishment, they must spend endless years absorbing the elements within the sand and sea using their fragile bodies, piling them up and forming "Sea Ganoderma." And once the Ganoderma are fully formed, they shall be harvested.' So if you chose it, then Thoma will have to drink...

Really enjoy your vids, congrats on the new channel! Just one comment: I think the grapevine may have influenced your view on Ayato’s quest a bit too negatively. Perhaps you were tired, but didn’t quite sense the same amount of engagement or enthusiasm with this one. A fresher outlook may have helped you appreciate it more at certain junctures. It’s one of those wordier quests but there’s a lot of interesting things to take away. But regardless, great gameplay and commentary, keep it up!

This story quest, wasn't to bad. It fits ayato kinda well. Elegant and plotting schemes in the background. Seems fitting. Thought the whole wedding plot was kinda boring. Since I don't care about random side characters.

Yea I agree - the quest wasn't boring, but it wasn't super captivating either. Obviously some people will love learning about the politics of Inazuma but it makes me hope they keep bringing back these reoccuring non-vision characters so it's a bit more meaningful.
