Well there is the ESA run for those who missed the marathon. This was a brilliant experience and the run went about as good as I could have hoped to be completely honest. As a bonus, an incentive was met thus I got to do a Hard difficulty run for added chaos. I was able to showcase all the tricks, with most of the error being driving mistakes which I'll chalk them to the hard difficulty and mostly to slight rust, I hadn't touched the game in over a week since I was busy travelling to ESA from Canada. And at the event itself I didn't really want to just go there to play Driver. I spent most of my time exploring a bunch of touristic locations around Copenhagen and Malmo. So all of that left me with about an hour of practice time that I did before my run was on. So despite all that I got pretty much a perfect run with entertaining moments to spice it up!
With that said I want to give a big Thank You to everyone at ESA for allowing me to showcase this and for the great cause they support and a especially big Thank You to Viper to commentate the run with me and just showing me around the place in general! And of course, a big shoutout to everyone who showed in the run, I did manage to get a glimpse at a couple of familiar name from the chat! Never would have thought 2 years ago that I would ever get to showcase this run in such a big marathon but here we are!

GG. That's a PS1 classic! Back then, it came out with 2 discs if I'm not mistaken. But yeah, laggy af especially during intense trafic & chases. Great memories and pretty solid run though. Congrats from France.

Thank you! And yes 2 discs, which is another perk of this port, removes the time swapping out the discs

It also came in 1 disc I know because I owned both I owned the single disc version and the 2 disc version I still own both versions. And I never had any lag issues what so ever. It was the best fun I ever had and if their was lag I never noticed it so it just gave me more time to focus on the game having fun although I never figured out why their was a 2 disc version and a single disc version they both played the same who knows

And it's the only game cruel enough that makes you use CD1 no matter when you're saved in CD2! Force swap regardless when take a rest

I'm BRAZILIAN and your game made an epoch here in BRAZIL. EVERYONE PLAYED. I NOTICED that you don't shut down the police on the school bus like I do.

I played this game for hours everyday during summer vacation as a kid. Never was able to finish though cuz I scratched the 2nd disc 😞. Might have to play this port!

I can only recommend playing Redriver 2. It takes away all the flaws of the Ps1 version and is just great fun to play through

Honestly coming from the guy who speedrun this game this may sounds stupid but I would probably prefer a new game at that point? While the driving physics are brilliant, the missions and story aren't really all that great, so the amount of fixing needed to bring em up to par might as well be put into a new adventure.

@@the_surviv0r It depends on who you ask I guess, I personally enjoyed Driver 1 and 2 more than the other games, and even Driv3r was fun despite it not being a very good game that felt unfinished. A new game would be great too, maybe in the style of the first driver game. I personally didn't like the weird style of Driver: San Francisco.

Yeah I was quite please with how quick the run went, especially when I learned I still only had my expected 1H30 to do the run like the normal run. Really the only time lost I got was from "Steal a cop car" since I failed it quite far in, everything else went mostly spot on despite hard mode.

59:25 what glitch for the President's Run, when @ start you let them ram you out of bounds and you drive to bridge somewhere you "drown" and it gives win ^.^ I learnt that forever ago from gamersin
