How to reduce the noise (sound pressure level) from the Irrigatia C12 C24. The C12 C24 is a automatic watering system. The noisy pump is seperated and build into a wooden box.

Thanks a lot for posting! Ran into the same issue with the pump being way to noisy. Did a similar build and the pump is now barely audible.

Thanks for this. My pump is covered in sponge so I can’t see the details I need to get the correct wire to extend the wiring. What should I order?

You can use a low voltage cable. For example, a cable used for boats, cars and caravans. I don't remember exactly what I used, but it might have been a copper cable 1.5mm2

Doesn`t the pump get to hot in the mineral whool paddel box? Thinking Fibre hazard?

Great question. I have been running the pump wrapped in mineralwool for two years now. And have not noticed any problems with overheating. I guess the water that flows through helps to cool down the pump. The pump also has long rest periods between the irrigations. But one idea could be to put a finger on the pump when it runs. This could be done whitout the mineral wool. If the pump does not feel any warmer. Then it is definitely not a problem. My irrigation system is resting for the winter now. But I plan to check this out by the summer.

Good solution but why didn’t they chose a electronic pump! They’re silent!

The size of the box is not so important. But it must be large enough for there to be a few centimeters distance between the pump and the box wall. It is very important that there is no contact there. Must be mineral wool everywhere between pump and box wall. Examples of box size are 120x120x120mm
