First of all, both men and women work full-time these days, and either one can be the head of the household---that is no longer exclusively something men can do---that outdated sexist idea has to go. Plus a man being head of the household merely by itself is no guarantee that he's actually taking care of said household anyway. Woman can and have been heads of households for a long time, mainly because sometimes they had to be, not because they necessarily wanted to be---and a lot of them still are today.
