I know this is a bit late, but I love this small build. I want to eventually have a larger frag tank. Something similar to you new design. I need a bit more space to convince the wife. Hopefully a new enclosed porch next year will do the trick 🤫

I'm very happy with it. Out of all the t5 hybrids i think i like this one the best.. folding arms and built in controller is a nice touch!

Only thing I would recommend is having quarantine tank for corals over all looks very cool dude

I though about doing that with the Red Sea tank then it turned into overflow when I ran out of space. It is a good ideas though. Maybe I’ll use a tiny tank for a week long observation tank

the avast marine diaphragm pump might work for getting water from your existing rodi unit, check it out

Jashan Swaich it’s more running the hoses thats my issue. I would have to pass through HVAC or the attic. Neither are ideal locations for rodi line

i actually like to make it easy! do you need it all.. no.. does having it make your life easier.. yep! :) I'm an extremely busy buy with multiple jobs and a Tech junkie! i love automation.

Nice frag tank. I'm planing to set up a frag rack, 3 levels (25 gal each) + 1 sump due to space constraint. Would you have any advice as I've found no one with a similar project.

Nice update! Where are those live rocks? Are they all packed on the left side of the tank?

Yep! whats left is on the left, had to make lots of space for the frag tiles :)

What is in the bottom of the kitchen bin with all the RFA? Sand? Rubble? Is your Reefbot hooked up to your water box?

Calcium reactor media so more or less rubble rock. Reefbot is under my desk. Had it running on that tank the last few months. Will be going on the new frag tank. I didn’t really have space to mount it nicely under that one with the open stand

Mainly flat with a slight tilt to angle the light in at the corals more and less me seeing bulbs from the couch :P

Is the sponsorship from BRS/Brightwell a new thing, never noticed before. Either way congrats. I was actually pretty excited when I saw BRS post that they were having you on a stream last Thursday, never saw it posted so just wondered what happened/is it still going to happen?

I don't have a reefing community where I'm at(which is crazy because I live in FL) but watching your videos has really helped me take on projects that in the past I don't think I would have attempted. Love that BRS does things like their in depth series and even now giving away free equipment/stuff durning all the craziness. Your a really smart guy and I'm glad this sponsorship will allow more people to watch your videos, learn new things and stay in the hobby.

My future thought is this. Why not used drilled rocks to create a “frag lagoon” - maybe there is a potent reason out there why this wouldn’t work, but I’ve been wondering why more don’t do this. Use drilled flat reef saver rocks populated with plug holes and build a frag aquascape.

Brett Edward Stout I think I may try and do something cool like that in half of the tank. Then have the other half more normal racks for stuff to trade. But I do like the display aspect of it

Hi does ur filter roller let some crap through stiil as mine does i can see it on the floor of my sump i have no leaks and it doesn’t overflow and the flap is shut ???

It shouldnt unless ir overflows (like in feed mode maybe) I do have my main drain hooked up to it and my secondary trickle drain bypasses it so not everything is filter though it.. just most things
