The song is a memorial to martyrs of the October 20th, 2020 massacres at Lekki Toll Gate by the Nigerian security forces (Ozumba Mbadiwe is the name of the expressway that leads to the toll gate). That’s why it looks simple. Reekado is saying you will find him on the way (long drive) to the memorial 🙏🏾 These are names of the fallen 4:15 on the yellow electronic boards.

The name of the drive "Mbadiwe" in Igbo actually means that the country/town/city people are angry. it coincides with the mood of the ppl during SARS protest.

Ozumba Mbadiwe is a road in Lagos 🇳🇬and the tollgate they drove through was a focal point for the #ENDSARS protest in 2020. This song is an absolute banger 🔥👌and a classic for sure. And for a non-Nigerian, you got the pronunciation right ✅. Very impressive 👏🏿👍🏾

First verse is that he has been busy like the highway Ozumba Mbadiwe ( it's always busy). 2nd verse is a homage to those who died on that road October 20 2020 demonstrating against police brutality.

You got the pronunciation right first time. Impressive. I loved the song the first time I heard it. It starts out as a cool breezy cruising song with lyrics stating the artiste credentials and chill attitude and all of a sudden bursts into biting social commentary on the murder of scores of innocent protesting Nigerians at the Lekki toll gate on October 20 2020. The sublime irony is that at one end of the long street is a military barracks and at the other is the massacre ground at the tollgate. Great concepts. Great Song.

The Amapiano base sounds are gotten from padding log drums on two different octaves. They are basically log drums 🪘

The name of the amapiano bass sound is Log Drum… it’s a stock preset on FL studio. But also, the samples can be used in any DAW
