I remember this time period. Great album. Public Enemy was a fire mixtape and primer for the album too. Beans was on that bull. He wasted his blessings just to prove a point that he didn't need to make. The whole city supported him. He always could've been bigger than what he was just by walking the straight and narrow. Hip Hop has been its own downfall with nonsense at times

Beanie Sigel is a classic example of why you need to leave the streets alone once you start making legal money. Beans was too focused on keeping it street in a game that’s completely fake. Then on top of everything, he was so loyal to Jay that he was completely disloyal to himself. Unfortunately, I can’t feel sorry for him being broke today. He had equal or more opportunity than Killa. Specially because unlike Killa he was in good graces with Jay. Beans was not a business man. He was a goon. & people like Jay took complete advantage of that. Regardless, I can’t feel sorry for Beans
