Kind of never realized it, but if you notice JJ has a very uncertain reaction and timid once he realizes something bad is going down inside the house. It's a bit of foreshadowing for his character

Kind of a spoiler from Patreon but I'm with Rob, I ship JJ and Kie. Also the fence was the result of storm damage and was a live wire which adds to how dangerous certain places can be after a hurricane, especially a poor community like where John was. I'm from Louisiana and I remember after hurricanes hit people wouldn't let kids go out because it's dangerous.

My best friend lost her ring that her gram gave her before she passed away and she was looking through the trash that she had just thrown out and was gearing up to jump in the dumpster to find it and if my boyfriend and I weren’t borrowing someone’s car I would’ve jumped in after her. Idk there’s something about a friend losing/looking for something after their parent dies that makes you want to do things for them you never normally would. So in that regard I understand why Kie went down the tunnel for John B. Also, my bestie found out her roommate stole it because her roommates boyfriend narc’d on her. She promptly moved out.

kind of a spoiler but not rly cause it’s something the fans haven’t even seen yet: i ship jj and kie so much. the writers didn’t even think about putting them together until they saw fans’ reactions. s3 they’re going to put them together a little bit and i’m so ready
