either you are a great teacher or your delivery is a perfect match. No one has talked about it like this before. Now it seems so accessible. thanx

Please, please viewers, take a close look at some videos of the Masters, like PdL, playing Alzapua ( AL tha pu A ) & see how short their thumbnail is ~ the contact, by skin & nail simultaneously, on the strings is a huge component of the authentic fLamenco sound.... You guys will, 99.99% of you, find Alzapua 99.99% easier if you use a short thumbnail.... Those that want to deepen their Art won't just take my words for this, they'll research, study & practice! Keep Playing & working at it Guys.... It's an extremely high level technique that's demanded for good fLamenco playing, of, but the payoff is HUGE! Big Love 🎶

Check please tutorials about alzapua explaining mechanics of Your wrist (it is about saving Your Time on movements - one movement of wrist down making two strokes A single Note and two or three strings making the rest). I recommend atrafana video tutorials, I have learned a lot from that👍👍👍

I'm learning so much about how to play the music I've been listening to and trying to fathom out all my life. Excellent at explaining it out given I have never studied musical theory. Kai's classes have given me a whole lot to build on.

is this all notated when buying the flamenco explained app?
@FlamencoExplained
@FlamencoExplained 3 жыл бұрын
Almost all of it is notated, though I make a point of not notating certain things (compas patterns, mostly) when I believe that reading is counterproductive to really learning.

@@havealooke No time to change strings every time you put the cejilla on, so you have to find a tension that works for both. Or just always play with a cejilla - no reason not to!

@@FlamencoExplained For sure thanks..it's just that I've got only 3 years of guitar and I can play escobillas arpegios in C without cejilla but in E I need it..I need to train my fingers to get that G# note...it will come I guess. Thanks !

Matko Hi Matko, how ‘s it going? You know I’ve heard from a reliable source that flamenco guitarists back before the nylon era would tune down 1/2 step, and then place the cejilla on the first fret to match E or mi, but I have yet to have had that claim confirmed-sounds interesting though.

@@FlamencoExplained Perfect sound, perfect play!What kind a microphone do you use? I’m searching this “sound”; but for me (for me the flamenco is new, after jazz, classic and fingerstyle, has a Camp’s CUT900) there is no reason to buy a negra in the 7-13.000 EUR range. And a last question. Did you ever tried the much less expensive Reyes Estudio negra guitars? I also prefer the Alvarez&Bernal Especial10 negra.What do you think about them? Im based in Hungary and here impossible to testing quality flamenco guitars. Your openion is important to me. Thank you so much!

@@Tengeresz1969 I'm not sure which guitars you mean when you say the Reyes Estudio negra, and I haven't played the Alvarez & Bernal so I can't comment. I'm not certain, but for that video I probably used an AKG C480 microphone with the CK61 capsule. Cheers, Kai

Min 2"26.Esa cejilla que haces hasta la 6.Bien se puede hacer desde la 5.Ya que esa cuerda no la tocas para nada.Y la verdad es que cuesta hacer toda la cejilla.
@FlamencoExplained
@FlamencoExplained 4 жыл бұрын

I'm sorry, but for me the technical tricks show is too fast. You interpret a lot and you show short and fast. You can't learn these tricks from these movies. In my opinion, you need to improve the methodology of transferring the game technique.Do not forget that it is easy for you and very difficult for us for students. (Masters of these movies do not watch.)
