Lol if you've watched Sophia's videos you'd know she genuinely uses these products because she discovered the brand when she went to Korea. Also if it was sponsored, I'm sure they would've included links. Don't assume without actually knowing.

It's been proven that SPF in foundation and other makeup for your face is not enough SPF to actually protect your skin like moisturizers with SPF do, so actually having your foundation be the only source of SPF on your face during the day is really not benefiting you at all.

Actually Sophia mentioned using Hera products in her December favorites on her channel. She went to Korea and discovered this brand. I rmr her talking extensively on this brand back in dec. I think she had just a few whereas she now has a couple more. I use products from Origins, Aveeno and Mario Badescu. Origins is my favorite brand but it's pricey so I enjoy having a drugstore option when I'm low on cash and Mario Badescu is a new line I've discovered which is a happy medium between the two. If I could, Id probably exclusively use origins but my funds doesn't allow me to do that :(

Oh my.. I only use face wash and 1 moisturizer (that has spf) for morning and night. I'll have to find an evening moisturizer for sure, and take better care of my skin lol. But what does a toner do and what are some good ones?
@KHtrinity1
@KHtrinity1 9 жыл бұрын
***** a toner helps to remove remaining dirt and skin particles after cleansing, as well as preparing the skin to absorb the next products used and sometimes have moisturising properties. They've often got soothing botanicals like rose water or the purifying witch hazel. When you buy a toner try to look for one that is very low in alcohol or alcohol free because it can dry out and irritate your skin. Good on you for using SPF during the day, you'll want to make sure the minimum level you use is 25, and that it's broad spectrum so it blocks both UVA and UVB rays, UVB rays are the ones that burn your skin and UVA are what causes skin aging, SPF is actually only an indivator of the UVB protection. You'll find a lot of Japanese an Korean spf products also have a "PA" level, which is measured by an amount of + signs, which is an indicator of UVA protection. I recommend to avoid using SPF creams before bed, and you could probably afford to use a more rich cream at night, or a non-comedogenic oil, like rosehip or marula oil if you have oily or blemish prone skin. good luck :)

@KHtrinity1

***** that's okay it was nothing! damnn I wish we had Sephora in Australia I couldn't recommend any to you from personal experience sorry! I use either the Dermalogica clear start toner (which is great) for my acne prone teenage skin , or the Etude House moistfull collagen facial freshner which is a korean gel type toner I use when my face gets dry from acne medication. Both of them are great but they might not be what you're looking for.

y'know it's because sk-ll is 93~100% organic so it doesn't have any fragrance because those are basically perfumes which means chemical. I personally don't really care if they don't have any fragrances on skin products,it might risen up irritations towards certain skin types,y;know what I'm saying :D

Cool, but both are very mistaken and misinformed regarding SPF. It has been said time and time again that you should never depend on your makeup for sturdy sun protection. I'm surprised because Koreans are on point about sun protection, yet they don't even have it mentioned in this skincare routine. There's no point in doing all these toner and essence steps if you aren't going to properly use sunscreen. Just sayin'.
