Alexa, if you wrote those words and they came from your heart, then I know exactly what that is like. EXACTLY what that is like. It is hard. I don't know if you will ever even read this comment, but I just want to tell you: Don't lose hope!! How can I say this...There have been times when I have also felt like I could never be myself because people wouldn't appreciate me for who I am, because they are so different. And sometimes, when you've never found someone who you can completely expose your inner self to, when the times you're most comfortable are the times when you're alone, it seems impossible that there is anybody in this world who completely understands you...But I just want to tell you, don't give up hope!!! In my journey of seeking out God, He has placed along my way in this last year several people who I could really connect with deeply, who I could fully be myself around, and let me tell you, no matter how impossible it feels that your heart can ever be freed, He can do the same for you and place in your life people who you will feel yourself reflecting in. Seek Him out. Don't give up. Furthermore, I love you as one who has been through similar things, and I wish you all the best in your journey. As a taste of what it's like, when you meet those people, you will hardly have to tell them anything about yourself because they will just already understand what it feels like, so telling them your experiences will just be like giving context to what they already know about how you are as a person. I know that the pain of aloneness and emptiness is hard and that sometimes life seems very dark indeed, but I can promise you that the pain of being empty will make you value being full so much more, and it will give you that much more joy when you finally find what you are seeking. Oh, one more thing...life was meant to be hard. ;) He knows it's good for us. Just keep on keeping on, and if you seek out God He will make your life more beautiful than you can imagine. I say this as one who has experienced that happening. (And still is experiencing it!) I love you, my friend! ~Sarah

Oh, and one more thing I forgot--alone time is good. Don't get too busy to have it like I did for a while; it's never worth it! Even if it's just when you get up in the morning (if you're an early bird like I am), or when you stay up late. That's usually when I read the scriptures, too. :)
