No fixed position for that, u can keep it anywhere on the scale, focus the ink dot, and then start moving upwards to focus in glass n chalk powder

Yes the mic turned off due to low battery at that time,, there is just calculation, so we can understand calculation by just watching video also. Thinking this I left it as it is.

Yes, CVD 21 means that 21st line on Vernier Scale is coinciding with any one of the line on main scale. To get the value you should multiply CVD with LC of TM.

Keep the glass slab on paper and Rotate the knob on top and move the microscope upwards slowly until the ink mark is clearly visible
