What if you hair is a dull red? & you want to make it brighter Red like my hair is burgundy but I want it RED like in the video. Is it okay to use 30 developer then? Or would it still fry the hair?

@@amberbailey5931: Hey Amber, I'm no professional myself, but I'm kind of getting this same magenta, burgundy red look on mine, so I'm heading to Sally's beauty supply tomorrow to 40 developer alongside 30 and a protein color filler to see if it finally comes out like this. I'm still trying to learn myself.

You are right. I use 10-20 volume even for my roots XD, and regular red dye, not this hi lift, but I have light very light brown(level 6-7). Demi color for the rest is is good advice, I do that, it is great. Once every 4-6 months I dye all my hair with 10 volume, the only problem I do have with 10 volume is that on some of my greys it washes off after 3 weeks, but it stays on the rest. I usually color my hair every 4-8 weeks.

You can use the saw ones she used. Its hi color by loreal . The hi color formula is specialized for dark hair so you don't have to bleach your hair. I have very dark hair and i always use hi color and its beautiful and I don't have to damage my hair. Depending on how bright you want to go. If your hair is very dark you should use a 40 developer the first time and to touch up the color use 10 or 20 developer and only to do your roots use a 30 or 40. Hope this was helpful. Also if you have never dye your own hair before have someone help you. Oh and another tip do not I repeat do not start at your roots start 2 inches lower or more then go back to your roots. If you do it will be way brighter than everything else. Hope it turns out awesome

Marie M. Try mixing a semi permanent red dye(i recommend ion color brilliance in red) in with your conditioner, use it after you wash your hair, it doesn’t damage your hair and it keeps your hair refreshed for a longer period of time.

You don't need to bleach your hair. Stephanie has another video where she used Color Oops to remove old dye before dying her hair red again.

Pour in as much as you think you need. It doesn't really matter.

You avoid them by dyeing the ends of your hair first. Then that on for 20ish minutes. Then put the dye on your roots and wait another 10-20 mins

edith rodriguez when u dye your hair it’s always better to just rinse your hair out NOT shampoo it . So I rinsed my hair off and put on conditioner and a hair masque ..

I would suggest putting a semi-perm red to try and blend it together. Or go to a salon honestly.
