You're right. There is no consumer rights protection in Pakistan, when customers are usually king, here companies behave like kings and it is not possible without poweful people in government backing to these people. And that's why it is continuing not just in refrigerator but of most consumer related items.

I have purchased 438ib which compressor doesn't trips easily, keeps running for long time which consumes 150w x 16hrs per day and consumes 2.5unit per day which is being claimed wrong by company as it takes 1 unit per day and they claim cooling remains for 48 hrs after load shedding while when you turn off refrigerator its temperature comes from 5 to 18 with in hour so no cooling retention is there. I recommend all guys please first of all review any model if any friends and family is using already and satisfied either its haier, dawlance or pel or any other which genuinely works better instead of marketing claims.

You are right. Defrost or no frost are only useful in that countries where no electric load shedding. In particular Pakistan its too much load shedding. Here no frost or defrost will face problems. Any one has experience of defrost or no frost. Please do share.
