While David was called a man after God’s own heart, he was neither a perfect man nor a perfect king. So how can we account for David rejoicing that he was righteous and clean before a holy God? Examining 2 Samuel 22, Alistair Begg explains that David was not claiming sinlessness. Rather, David was expressing his trust in God’s promise to blot out his transgressions. The righteousness David experienced was an imputed righteousness that all who put their faith in Jesus enjoy.

I think that this message from Pastor Begg is the most concise heart piercing, healing, and liberating that I have ever heard in 50 years of being saved. Or maybe I needed it so desperately now. I have never read this scripture without thinking, well I could never say what David said, I’ve committed too many sins, I have no righteousness of my own-

I am unclean and a sinner, I have had delusions that I was searching and struggled with sin and somehow God was teaching me and pleased. I never searched for my own spiritual fruit but relied on others in thier preaching and song. I pray for those struggling with similarities.

❤Thank you for these videos. Those who love the Lord will treasure all of His words in the Bible and in the Book of Mormon - Another Testament of Jesus Christ. He tells us how we can know that these scriptures are true in Moroni 10 :4-5
