Excellent! Now that you’ve explained the whole par38e27 thing, I was finally able to order a bulb for my chaeto. I got one that includes red LEDs just because I like the colour....and of course because it works too.... And you just know what’s going to happen now you’ve discovered that face - you’re going to start looking at rocks differently to see if there are any other places that could grow a Cyphastrea in a specific shape. 😁 Trust me, I’m now plagued with that.....if my tank ever starts growing Cyphastrea again....🤔 Thanks for the great info and as always, it’s a pleasure to watch your videos. 👍🏻👍🏻

Very informed video I learned a couple things,I have to ask if I keep adding corals in the DT ,would it get to a point the the corals would outcompete the algae for nutrients? I still want some algae for certain fish & snails & urchin & negate the need to farm macro algae in the sump? Which is going to cost about $40.-60 annually to my electric bill. And increase maintenance as I will have to remove said macro algae on a regular basis ?
@Davelembo5 жыл бұрын
that sounds like an awesome situation to be in. Even though coral reefs in the world have algae. There are many grazers as you said that will eat that algae. If you can maintain acceptable levels of nitrates and phosphates without the macroalgae that would be a good thing. I appreciate the question and thank you for watching

Nice info my friend. I will need to buy one of those lights since I drop accidentally the light that I was using in my fuge. And I don't have the cash for those high end manufacturers, even if I could afford them I wont pay those absurd prices. I think they are way out of context ($) for what they are and what they do.

Hi Dave, thank you for the video! I had seen other youtubers reviewing the Chinese lights from eBay and they found the lights were over heating to catch on fire and there was a risk that it’s not correctly insulated, so touching the casing had enough to kill you. Given your an electrician, can you reassure they are safe with the ones you purchased, as I got too scared to try after watching those videos.
@Davelembo5 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for watching. In my experience when things go bad, they spark and that one puff of smoke comes out. No fires no electrocutions. But I can't make any guarantees on their behalf. I use them and they grow cheito
