In this video I am restoring a twelve year old coffee machine which I got from the local recycling center. The "Trevi Chiara" has a very simple structure and is characterized by a high level of robustness and ease of use. The rated Saeco technology, which is built into the coffee machine, contributes to this. Unfortunately, the device has recently been neglected, making it impossible to use. But I think that after this restoration, the machine will be able to make delicious coffee for many years to come.

I bought my Saeco Vienna Plus from COSTCO about 10 years ago for $250 and it hasn't missed a shot. I'm glad I found this vid as I will be giving her a deep cleaning and a gasket overhaul. I highly recommend this machine if you can find one.

This is the most thorough video documentation of the brew unit disassembly / reassembly I've seen. I'm in the middle of refurbing a Vienna Plus that my brother-in-law gave me. You really went all out with this! Looking at how dirty the interior was I understand why you disassembled it so thoroughly. I may go deeper into my brew unit after seeing what you did. Thank you for taking the time to make this!

A couple of months ago I also bought an 11 year old Gaggia classic. Took me a lot of effort to clean it as it was in a similar condition to what you have over here. I wish that I would have seen some of your tricks when I did mine!

Thanks a lot - now I just have to find out the correct position of the mill. BTW: It is a genius trick of SAECO to use Philips screws where you can see them but under the water tank you need a T10 - I didn't see what it was and broke the top. What I need is the correct position or help to get the mill working; I cleaned the mill alone - which was easy - and when I had it put back it would not stop grinding until there was no more coffee in the storage.

Hi, you might have set the grinder too fine. I’ve encountered this issue before. In this situation, you should take the grinder apart and clean it with a vacuum cleaner. Then, set the grinding discs to a coarser level. You can then fine-tune the grind until you get the best result.

Witam cie ponownie.. ciesze sie z kolejnego filmiku. Uwielbiam Teoje filmy. Ostatnio udało mi się kupić utleniacz 12% do czyszczenia plastiku. I choc wrzery bylybardzo silne to udało się wyczyścić tacke do bialosci.

What an excellent video! Very thorough and pleasure to watch! Thank You!! I have the Villa Spidem Version and it looks identical would the parts be interchangeable and still available? I have had the Machine in use in my office for over 14 years and just had an excellent brew while I watched your video, I am noticing the grinder is starting to make a soft winding noise like it is starting to struggle and wanted to get inside and do a thorough cleaning or should I replace the grinder? Thanks for any help in advance🙂

Hello, all spare parts for this machine are still available. You can try cleaning the grinder first. Maybe it's just clogged with old coffee grounds.

@Roi Berkovich I use Menzerna polishing paste: amzn.to/2PDuE68. You can use a cordless screwdriver with a simple attachment to polish. You can buy everything on ebay or amazon.

How do you release the tabs at the bottom when removing the contraption from the case?

@Raul Berghe you need to slightly lift the tab with the screwdriver and pull the case off at the same time.

Wow ...tolle arbeit ..man muss nicht immer alles weg werfen... ich habe die selbe ..die spuckt kein kaffee mehr aus ..mahlt zwar ..aber wenn es dann zum auslauf kaffee gehen soll ..hustet sie kurz und dann kommt nix...wissen wie eventuell woran es liegt ? die teile sind recht teuer (ebay und so ) und auch gebraucht ...liegt an der pumpe oder am durchlauf erhiitzer? danke im vorraus..mfg Jogo

Hallo Jago, funktioniert der Spülvorgang? Wenn nicht, dann könnte es sein, dass der Durchlauferhitzer verkalkt und somit verstopft ist. Das Supportventil ist auch möglicherweise betroffen. Du kannst versuchen mit einem guten Entkalker einige Spülvorgänge durchzuführen und evtl. über Nacht stehen lassen, vielleicht hilft es. Ich kaufe meine Ersatzteile oft bei juraprofi.de.

also du meinst rechts wo nur heisses wasser kommt oder damp , oder? naja das funktioniert so halb gut nicht fisch nicht fleisch ..und entkalt habe ich scchon paar mal versucht ...würde ich gern reparieren ,, aber das lohnt ja fast nicht ..krigst für 60 euro schon gute gebrauchte machinen..schade eigentlich .weil ich werf nichts gern weg und die dinger sind ja fast unzerstörbar ,,schlicht und einfach .ich brauch auch nur kaffee ()ohne schnick schnack..was kann man da jetzt machen ?trotzdem danke für die antwort und die kommenden@@yt.myworks

@@jogopoulos1831 Hi, spülen über den Kaffeeauslauf bis sich vielleicht etwas rührt. Natürlich mit dem Entkalker im Wassertank. Alle fünf Minuten einmal auf spülen drücken. Jetzt weiß ich nicht mehr ob die Maschine überhaupt die Funktion "spülen" hat aber du weißt was ich meine. Der Kalk ist der Feind Nr. 1 jeder Kaffeemaschine egal wie einfach oder robust sie ist. Irgendwann verstopfen alle wenn man nicht aufpasst.

jepp ich weiss was du meinst , naja ichwerd nochmal alles versuchen..über kleinanzeigen wollte sie schon jemand , aber die verschicke ich ungeern , da ich nnicht weiss wie die mit dem kartoon umgehen ..aber für 25 euroo abholen hatt sich noch keiner gemeldet.naja..danke dir erstmal @@yt.myworks
