Happy April 1st! For todays review, we're discussing a ride familiar to many. We've all ridden it, and yet somehow no one has bothered to discuss how on earth this ride is allowed to exist?! I mean, there is no restraint, a bad layout, and its located in space?! How are we expected to survive this?!?!

Yeah it annoys me that these GP s like this ride so much that they stay for it. I don’t like that you have to pay for the ride. Also, some people bring snacks onto the ride and eat, which is so GP. This is a family, not the various amazing rides like Air Grover at Busch gardens Tampa (l0l.) One more thing, the rides are restricted by age, not height. The rides are the same though, every time.

I think the RMC treatment was really unnecessary, the ride was already quite smooth. I am disappointed in the lack of inversions. I do believe this is definitely the weakest of the RMC’s.

Darren Snieszko then again it DOES go under water. Plus the enclosed trains really add a lot to the themeing of the ride

The coaster with the enclosed trains and the coaster that goes underwater are two different roller coasters though.

A 7 is very generous for this, I mean could you imagine the lateral g's on those non banked turns with that Vekoma esque track?! Plus the guest complaints about popcorn popping in their face, plus we can't forget about the great M&M collision accident of 2015. I don't think regal knew what they were getting themselves into with these creations. This is a money pit deeper than Son of Beast. Regal just needs to cut their losses and call B&M for a nice safe GP machine.

The theming on the RMC makes me like that one a lot more. The rockwork and water section reminds me a lot of Cheetah Hunt! The effects on both versions are nice but again I like the RMC version for more practical effects over screens/projections. The only thing I miss from the original was that there was more airtime.

Christian Moss and Six Flags is closing their parks except Magic Mountain because 1 it would be hard to remove a mountain and 2 it can't be destroyed, because of unfamiliar magic.

I haven't ridden this coaster in years. I would ride it again, but it's kinda expensive. I believe it costs about $12 to ride.

I just got off the newer version of this ride. I absolutely love it. The airtime is insane and I love the popcorn headchopper! I would give it a 10 out of 10!!

The popcorn popping on the first version of the coaster scared me every single time I saw it. The fact they got rid of that element in the new one is definitely losing some points in my book.

The best part about this ride (and I don't mean to take snipes at other parks) is most places will actually make you throw your drink out or put it in a locker before you get on the ride. With Regal, they're literally throwing drinks and snacks at you while you're on the ride. That's a really nice touch, and I'm glad Regal hasn't gone overboard with all its safety protocols.

Omg Taylor. I love that you did this. I wonder if maybe the reason the coaster is able to change scenery so quickly is because it's an indoor ride that allows for quick changes in location? In any case, great review! A very appropriate choice for today.

I really think this coaster could benefit from a few inversions just like Taylor said, but it does give you some great airtime in the back row especially on the second drop.

Regal Cinemas has announced new and improved Vekoma Over the shoulders boomerang train style restraints as of 2019. Many reliable sources such as Wikipedia, and CNN have stated that Coaster enthusiasts such as Coaster Studios, Koaster Kids, Theme Park Review , and ACE are all rejoicing at the great news! Few are sad that B&M lap restrains are not being added to this ride. This is all the news I have as of now and I know all of us coaster enthusiasts are stoked about this new addition!

Once I saw the vid I knew that I was being April fooled! They eventually “refurbished” the ride. The new one is better plus the theming is way better. I still remember both coasters.

Being completely serious, I think a roller coaster mass transit system using buildings for support for a city would be AWESOME! Look at Thunder Dolphin in Japan as an example of this.

I think I like the new RMC Regal Cinemas rollercoaster. It seems to go faster and have more airtime. I lost count of how many times I rode this rollercoaster in a Regal movie theater. I’m pretty sure I rode it right before watching all the latest Star Wars movies. 🎢😂

Wow technology has really improved over the last few years nice to see more of a through put of riders. Although I do have to say that maybe popcorn isn’t a great idea on this ride (but that’s just my opinion)

I like the DMV better because of the steeper drop but then again these coasters rely more on speed and the practical effects after them to draw in guests

One of the few rollercoasters I refuse to try. That and the loop de loop at the six flags, these look to scary, especially the drops. Youre really brave, I hope to work up to being this brave like you!

Pretty sure the trains are enclosed and pressurized on the newer coaster. The older one obviously has enclosed trains, so it's safe to assume that they went with that again.

One complaint I have is that it really is somewhat of a letdown. For some reason, you don’t seem to feel the motion and air time as much as you would think. Great theming though.
